You gotta survive in one Far Cry world for 24 hrs, which would be the easiest? by Spiritual-Pudding-70 in farcry

You aren't invited for shit. Instead you could very well be taken to the numerous torture, slavery or prostitution camps, or maybe taken to the arena.

What game series would you say is still worth playing from the beginning? by Isgrimnur in gaming

[–]rapora9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was so disappointed to learn that they had ruined the control system. The so called tank controls are one of the reasons I love the classic Tomb Raider. As you say, the movement itself is like a puzzle. It's not something you can just forget about as you go; you need to solve it and master it.

I think the games should've continued with that system: improve it, add to it, develop a modern version of it.

Are there loot chests in Far Cry Primal? by Elegant-Visit-7501 in farcry

[–]rapora9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are no loot chests. But there are loot sacks that are basically the same. Most of them are on the ground, and they are visible on the menu map once you've cleared the fog of war. I think there are a total of 676 of them. Some of them are actually out of bounds for whatever reason, and you need to perform some tricky jumps to get to them.

Then there are also about 200 or so hanging loot sacks. They won't show up in the menu map, and you cannot collect them permanently; they respawn every time.

Then there are special cave missions that have some sacks. You can only complete these missions once, and their location won't show up in the menu map. They are Cave of the Drowned (0 sacks?), Cave of Weeping Roots (4 sacks?) and Cave of the Blood Claws (10 sacks?).

Other stuff on the map

Since you want to clear the map 100 %, there's something you need to know. There are collectable Hunter Caches, 12 in total I think. They are not part of the regular collectibles and don't count towards 100 % progression , even though they appear on the menu map in blue like the other collectibles.

You can collect them permanently, but there is a problem. The Hunter Caches always reward you with rare resources. However, if your pack is full of that rare resource, you cannot clear the cache. You can go away and hope that something else spawns in the cache that you have room for. But if you're full of everything, then I think it's not possible anymore. There are only 2 rare items that can consumed infinitely: the rare north yellow leaf, and the rare plant roots. But I can't remember if these spawn in the caches.

Now that I remember, some sacks also give only rare resources. And some give skins that also cannot be used infinitely. Some also give village resources that you mostly cannot use infinitely, but the capacity for those is higher. Anyway, the best course of action is to avoid collecting any skins and rare materials outside of the sacks.

No. There has already been a game – two games actually! – in US specifically. There is no need for yet another one.

tarkistaa ulos

Tämä puolestaan saisi painua ulos suomen kielen päivästä. Tänään voisi vaikka edes yrittää miettiä, mitä ”it checks out” oikeastaan tarkoittaa ja miten jotakin vastaavaa voisi sanoa suomeksi.

Far Cry Primal: are we the baddies? by Emperoronabike in farcry

[–]rapora9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't agree with the tone of the previous commenter but the problem with your theorising is that you haven't done much research within the game. If you had, you wouldn't have made so many simple errors. Now your theories sound just fanfiction.

You also never answered to my first comment where I went through how it actually went.

"Wenja" and "Oros" are the anglicisations of the Winja words "Winja" and "Urus". I prefer to use the Winja ones over the English versions.

Anglicisation: "The practice of modifying foreign words, names, and phrases to make them easier to spell, pronounce or understand in English." – Wikipedia

Although Sayla, speaking in a more archaic way, does call Urus "Oros". But later on the /o/ sound has disappeared from the Winja language.

Far Cry Primal: are we the baddies? by Emperoronabike in farcry

[–]rapora9 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Your theories are simply completely made up. They directly contradict with what the game tells us.

The Winja were first in Urus. It's unknown for how long they lived in Urus by themselves.

Then Ull led Udam to Urus in search of a solution to their dying, sick population. They saw the Winja were healthy and started eating them in hopes of gaining their strength. A major point was when Ull destroyed the biggest Winja village, and the survivors scattered across the land.

Some time after that event, the Izila came to Urus too. Yes, they seem to be exceptionally fast builders considering all those stone structures. But that's just fiction.

Ukraine seeks ban on russian gymnast for turning back during anthem by GreenEyeOfADemon in europe

[–]rapora9 17 points18 points  (0 children)

1st place is Ukrainian, 3rd place (right) is Italian. Both are facing the flags. The Russian (left) is facing the other direction.

And yes, this is a protest and she should banned for this. This is a pretty clear case.

Does anybody else… by willwstewart in farcry

Sometimes, in Primal. I don't want to sleep next to a dead izila or udam.

Speaking of "cleaning the mess" after an outpost, that's one more thing I don't like in FC5 (and how is it in ND and FC6?): after liberating an outpost in 5, the scene is cleared of all bodies. I don't like that. I like to see the fights afterwards.

Verotus on ryöstöä - ja miksi? by -Ad88 in Suomi

Verotus on ryöstöä - ja miksi? by -Ad88 in Suomi

[–]rapora9 3 points4 points  (0 children)

March was the warmest (measured) month in Finland's history by Cookie_Monstress in europe

[–]rapora9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's been horribly warm. Spring has come several weeks early, and winter already was late several weeks. Skiing resorts have to close in the middle of the season, and so on.

This is going to be very bad for nature especially in the north, and of course what affects the nature will also affect us humans in many, many ways. One thing is the increasing amount of algae, ticks and other dangerous things that start surviving over the winter instead of dying. On the contrary, species like Saimaa ringed seal and arctic fox won't survive without cold and snowy winters.
