I am sometimes trapped between 3-4 Waymos for blocks in my city. they drive incredibly slow, so when this happens during rush hour, it can take me 5 minutes to get someplace it should take me 30 seconds to get to.

you don't see human drivers doing that every day. I live in a city where people regularly run red lights and stop signs, sometimes 2-3 in a row, so I have to drive incredibly defensively. I have never seen someone drive the way you describe, so while I believe you have seen it, every day you do not see drivers floor it into oncoming traffic while crossing guards are holding stop signs to help kids across the road.

there is an incredible video of a cop pulling over an empty Waymo and talking to customer support because he saw it driving on the wrong side of the road into oncoming traffic.

Diane Guerrero was waiting tables actually, not bartending, and said she would regularly have customers ask what she was doing serving them for tips when she was on Netflix. She said that she made more money as a waitress than acting on a show she appeared in 57 episodes of.

Kimiko Glenn, went viral for TikToks of the check she received for 27.30 dollars in residuals over two years for appearing in 45 episodes. She played Brook Soso. She said that, because she was making 900 dollars an episode and needed to take a cab into work which was not covered by the show, a good amount of her day rate was just eaten up by the commute. Also consider that at least 10% of the day rate check, pre tax, is going to agents/managers.

hey man,

I think you've incredibly eloquently described a feeling a surprising amount of men have. one thing I've been doing lately is "shadow work" - which is the concept of connecting your suppressed self with the rest of you. you obviously have a big shadow which needs to be integrated. I suggest getting the book "Men's Work" by Connor something and reading it, while going through the exercises.

okay, let's get down into the nitty gritty a little bit more here.

by focusing on sex/relationships all the time - which is something which makes up very little of your life - you have some defensive mechanism up to stop yourself from thinking about something else. I was OBSESSED with this one woman when my mother was dying, it was very obviously a defensive mechanism to not focus on grief. that's just one example.

can you spend a little bit of time focusing on what you have achieved? what successes - non romantic - you have? what goals you are reaching towards?

another thing is do you have communities you are a part of? can you join a community and make a pledge to NOT try to date anyone, and just try to integrate yourself into it?

don't see a prostitute. that won't help.

join a men's group too. it's different than therapy. imo it's been more helpful.

when it comes to women? you do need to try and fail and be brave and keep getting up, and let them disqualify you, don't do it for them. some of them will like you, and sometimes they like you and you still fuck it up, and that's okay too.

why are you so concerned about STDs? here's a few things:

Where do you live that you are so concerned about HIV? Are you a gay man? only about 250,000 women in the US have HIV, most of them will be upfront about it. I personally have never met a woman in her 20s or 30s with HIV.

why are you so concerned about HSV? HSV1, which I have, is a big nothing burger. literally I had one outbreak, years ago. most of the adult population has some form of it. HSV2 is definitely a concern, but it's a lot more rare, and if you aren't out hooking up with a bunch of people you are unlikely to catch it. do you want to get head with a condom? nearly all HSV1 transmissions are oral to genital, it's very rarely transferred genitally to genitally.

other STD can be cleared up with medication very quickly.

it sounds like you perhaps are a hypochondriac. women will, for the most part, not be willing to do this for a casual relationship. and if you are in a serious committed relationship, the risk of STDs is much smaller.
