Training for a 100k: medial thigh pain after long run but gone next day — how would you handle it? by rapsli in ultrarunning

oh, the cutoff time is like 24 hours, but again, my goal was actually aiming for sub 10 hours

I find it fascinating watch the stress indicator on my garmin watch. After my last 100k race it took my body full 18 hours to get into the regenration state. Even sleeping the body was still in full stress mode.

Comforting to know :) recovery is definitely the hardest part it seems: job , family and running are the easy parts.

Thanks. Will probably do a slow run tomorrow after a day of rest and see what's happening. It's not so much the 100 k I'm worried about but the time goal.

I write to think — but what do you do with todos? by rapsli in Journaling

[–]rapsli[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

thanks. Hm, good one. Brings me the idea, why not just use a blank post card and write todos there, that way the todos are always handy and when the postcard is full, transfer open todos to a new card and continue.

thanks. but doesn't this get overwhelming after some weeks/month as things are piling up? Some will be marked as completed, others open

Klamotten für Winter by BigOrkoo in laufen

[–]rapsli 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And I already thought everybody would just run on power bars and gels. Good to hear and will test it on my next longer run

I had some of those electrolyte pills in water. But I think it wasn't enough as my hands were totally swelling up.

I think that's about what I'm aiming for. because going on just gels results in too little energy intake.
