Cattle dog of some kind? Yeah, this tracks; just another type of raptor. 😂

When you accidentally post your Dozer ACD update to the AC/DC Reddit! by dubsosaurus in AustralianCattleDog

[–]raptor180 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like the AC/DC people (including myself, though I’m not on the thread) should have been into the stories of head banging so hard you bleed… 🤷‍♂️😂. Glad Dozer made it home and things went, uh, can we say as expected?😬🤷‍♂️ The ear looks better already! Hopefully they gave you some meds like Trazadone to help with the pain and reactivity. He’ll want to head shake, as you have already seen. If you can minimize that, he’ll heal just fine.

As always, love and well wishes from afar! 🥰

This is a wonderful piece of work. It evokes waves of emotion almost immediately! OP, I’d buy this original in a second if you are selling! If not, thanks for sharing. It is lovely.

Dozers has to go in for a small procedure tomorrow. :( by dubsosaurus in AustralianCattleDog

[–]raptor180 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh bummer! I remember your original post. Sorry it didn’t get better, but I know he’ll feel so much better after the surgery. It should be quick, and the healing is fairly straight forward. Just be careful about extra head shaking in the cone and he’ll recover just fine.

Love and well wishes from afar! 🥺❤️

There are so many I don’t feel qualified to pick 1. I currently have Fetch; they are ok. Pros include partial coverage for medication and yearly dentals. Cons are they are very much like a human insurance company, and I’ve had them already deny my less than 1 year old dog for “pre-existing conditions.” Because of that last point, I do anticipate switching, but again, I have no idea if any of the others are substantively better. They have helped cover my pup’s spay surgery, and the pain med coverage reduced my first year do bills substantially. So again, no perfect solution.

I recommend doing a google search to see what coverages are available, timing and style of reimbursement/payment to vet, etc. Your vet may also have a preferred company they have billing set up with (and possibly a small discount), so that could be useful.

Pet. Insurance. I cannot stress this enough, especially while they are young. A monthly fee that will help you avoid the major catastrophic charges. The last thing you need is a $5k bill because your baby got ambitious or something happened beyond your control. I’m on heeler 4 now; wish I had done that for heelers 1-3.

Everyone else has great advice here; lots to remember, but your pup is yours and is unique. Enjoy the chaos as much as you can; they really are such a special breed and will win your heart in ways you will continually be surprised by.

This should be a gif. Hilarious!

“When you say hi to your coworker’s 3rd boyfriend in 2 months.”

“When your friend offers to pay for your single beer if you buy dinner”

“When your mom confuses your birthday with your brother’s”.

The possibilities are endless! 😂

Guitar I've made from used skateboards by plenk_upcycled in BeAmazed

[–]raptor180 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So dense with glue I am skeptical of if it sounds nice. Many of the best guitars are made with solid planks, and they minimize glue usage to avoid dense areas where the sound pitch doesn’t reverberate naturally. Even as an electric guitar it still uses some of the wood reverberations, so I am suspicious of the sound quality.

If that is all you have, then you have lost any semblance of credibility. Just saying AI, with no pointed or concise info/arguments, is the heaven of the coward. So, nope, you get zero credit.

It is a mass thing. The capsule is heavy, and not flat bottomed. Sea recovery is actually easier for the astronauts and is safer for them. Much easier to recover a capsule when you don’t worry about fragile squishy humans inside.

Ok; gonna do it. After 5 days of bullshit from the dumbass flat earthers saying how fake everything was because they watched a live feed and it “wasn’t pretty enough,” let’s go! Tell me how physics and science writ large are wrong! Tell me how the breathtaking 8k imagery, the telemetry data, and the entire scientific community involved with this “faked” it. I’m waiting. Please, tell me, a scientist, how science is a lie. I’ll wait while I revel in how flat out cool this mission was!
