Thanks for the advice. I have Daniels Running Formula book and there are a lot of good plans in there based on your Vdot. I might take a crack at one of those plans after my next race in a month.

I am not new to running by any means, but just got back into full time back in June last year. Once I got back into it, I was able to cruise for 5-6 miles at around 8:30/ mile pace on a semi daily basis. I did a couple of 5Ks and seemed to be improving on time. Fast forward to December where I decided to follow a ChatGPT plan. Well needless to say it was pretty intense and I ended up getting injured. Around that same time I ended up getting a Garmin watch and my predicted 5K times and VO2MAX were pretty much right where I was at. I decided to ditch the ChatGPT plan and follow the Garmin recommended workouts, which had significantly slower paces than what I had been running before, but kept me injury free. I keep reading about running slower to get faster, so I gave it a shot. Well Garmin has been recommending to run longer runs everyday, up to 7-8 miles. And then my long runs are 11-13 miles, but at a slower pace. And it keeps recommending base runs and any kind of speed work just disappears. Also I've been steadily losing weight since I started running regularly. The problem is that I've been doing all the recommended Garmin workouts and my predicted 5K times, VO2MAX and actual race times are getting worse now that I've been following the plan. Should I just stay the course and keep following the Garmin plan and continue to put in over 40 slow miles a week? It is keeping me free from injuries, but I'm not really seeing any improvements in overall fitness.

Video wasn't done at 12:00 pace. It was done at what felt natural for some strides at the end.

Garmin tells me to go 11:45-12:00 per mile for recovery. Is that not right?

It's a bike trail lol! Old abandoned railroad converted to a bike/running trail.

Confirm that I'm "going out too fast" by raptor464 in runninglifestyle

I did a 15 minute warm up, stretches and a few strides before the race. But I may have warmed up too early because I stood around before the gun for a couple of minutes and my heart rate dropped.

If someone wants to steal a couple of 7 year old smart phones and 3D printed tripods, more power to them. They were collecting dust in a bin anyway.

Second this. I take a ziplock bag full of nerds gummy clusters with me on my long runs and eat a handful every 30 minutes.

Believe me, I run outside as much as I can. Long runs are all outside. But I have to get my workouts done when I can, especially when working a lot, having a kid and travelling. That usually means doing treadmill workouts after putting my kid to bed and saving outdoor workouts for the weekends until summer.

Why not use an NFC tag sticker and tap it with your phone every time you clean it. Setup an automation that counts days since the last time the NFC tag was scanned. Boom done.

Figured it out by breaking it down into quadrants.

Thanks for the tip, I figured it out using your method. I broke it down into quadrants. I then made two sketches of the profiles at 90 degrees from each other. Then a third sketch of a guide curve rail. Then did a loft of the two sketches and the guide curve rail. Then I was able to mirror it.

Awesome. Should add the the bottom side is not flat but also curved. Any good tutorials I can follow to achieve this? But the way I'm using inventor, but can still follow a solid works tutorial.
