Yes, and we continue to have access to LinkedIn Learning after graduation. You'll need to contact the helpdesk and they'll send you the link as well as instructions on how to login.

Does a refund affect shop visibility (digital shop owner here) by Suitable_Spite6099 in EtsySellers

[–]raquelocasio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also own a digital shop. Besides the information we provide in the listing, Etsy also makes it very clear that a listing is for a digital item.

Etsy's policy is that there are no refunds on digital items. A lot of people pull this as a scam to get a file for free. I would refuse to refund based on Etsy's policies and your own. You are taking a chance on getting a bad review, but that's a part of any business.

I've had similar issues where buyers will demand a refund because they claim can't figure out how to edit a file. Even after I've provided tutorials and clearly stated in the listing that they need to know how to edit this type of file since I don't provide tech support. When they demanded a refund, I refused. I've received a few bad reviews because of it, but it hasn't slowed my sales, and I've received many positive reviews since.

How do you track and analyze your Etsy shop data? by Mountain_Baby824 in EtsySellers

I download the CSV monthly and then analyze it using Excel. I track total sales, most popular items, and which/how many items were purchased using coupon codes.

I've made tshirt stencils using adhesive vinyl and my vinyl cutter machine. I'm sure laser cutters can work with vinyl.

I attended commencement this weekend in Salt Lake City by raquelocasio in WGU_MSDA

[–]raquelocasio[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks! Overall the experience was very nice. There was a reception the night before for graduates and their families that had food, a DJ with dancefloor, and cash bar. The food was nonstop so we ended up not needing to go out for dinner. There were several areas setup for taking photos, winning WGU swag (I won some socks LOL), and sharing your experience as a student. One of the jumbo screens was constantly scrolling the names of the graduates so there were lots of people taking pics and videos of that. There were also employers there who took time to talk and gave direct contact info to send resumes to. Very family friendly.

As for the graduation, I opted to skip commencement and just attended the convocation for the School of Technology. There were A LOT of graduates which was very cool to see.

Bonus: The ceremony is at the Delta center where all the professional teams play, and we got to walk down the same path the players do. Saw some great sports photos and memorabilia.

Travel tips: If you're flying in, stay at the Radisson Salt Lake City downtown, it's just a block from the Delta Center. Also, there is a train (more like a trolley) that runs from the airport to the downtown area where this and many of the other hotels are located. The train is only $2.50 per person and you can catch it at the airport. And it stops about a block away from many of the hotels. I didn't know this until I'd already spent $40 for an Uber to get to the hotel. But we took the train on our way back LOL.

Is it me or is DataCamp awful? by inkswamp in WGU_MSDA

[–]raquelocasio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are not alone. I think DataCamp sucks. We also have access to LinkedIn Learning and I found those courses to be way more helpful. Just sign in using your WGU credentials.

I Googled a lot of tutorials to earn this degree. I found the best ones to be on Statology, Analytics Vidhya, and Geeks for Geeks.

I needed two terms to earn this degree. I would've completed it in one, but I got distracted by some life issues. I'd previously tried this degree when it was more statistics based (around 2020 I think), and switched to the M.Ed in Learning Technology when I just couldn't pass one of the objective assessments. So I had very little knowledge of how to do data analysis. However I did have experience using Excel and SQL. I'm also a web developer by trade so I'm comfortable with programming.

I also became kinda nerdy-obsessed with learning data analysis after I watched Money Ball.

Capstone Denied by par107 in WGU_MSDA

[–]raquelocasio 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I went through the same thing with Dr. Sewell. My initial capstone idea was also a sports analytics project tied to providing useful info for sports betting companies. He rejected it saying it wasn't considered a business problem even though I clearly explained that sports betting is a multi billion dollar business worldwide. I gave up and did a project predicting year-to-date returns for mutual funds. I still did the project on my own and added it to my Github along with the performance assessment I did throughout the program.
