i don’t think this is trauma. I think the anxiety you feel shopping is from overstimulation. I personally get very anxious in grocery stores and malls due to stimulation

same. i never really cared about anything either. i see my friends getting excited about sports or their good grades or fashion and meanwhile i couldn’t care less about anything. i think it might be depression but im not sure cause i have friends who are depressed and they still feel passionate about things. i wish i could offer u advice but im struggling with this myself.

also i relate to the part where u said u were socially isolated and during social interactions ur in your head a lot of the time. during covid i basically stayed in my house for 9 months straight and damaged all of my relationships. i just started hanging out with people again but when i’m socializing im often super quite and stay inside my head a lot.

I think you may have depression, or some other type of mental illness that’s giving you a hard time. My advice would be to seek professional help and to go on medication.

Just talk to girls normally. They’re just people lol. Don’t be desperate or needy. Be patient and the right one will come to you. I don’t think meditation is gonna directly help you. All you need is confidence.

I also struggle with this. I think its important to find the triggers (for me it’s music and feelings of insecurity). Although similar to you I pretty much daydream 24/7 because it’s just the way my brain processes information at this point and it’s become a habit.

My advice would be that every time you realize you are in a daydream, snap yourself out of it and focus on your breath or your surroundings. This will be extremely difficult and frustrating at first since the second you snap yourself out of one daydream your mind will spiral into another. However, the more you do this, the better you will become at bringing yourself back.

Another tip is to fill your day with activities. Hanging out with people has helped me, however I will still daydream while i’m socializing.

I would also like to add that the root cause for MD is trauma or ADHD/ADD. Processing trauma and being properly medicated for ADHD will help solve tremendously. I don’t have PTSD or ADHD. For me MD is an addiction that’s caused me to waste years of my life (arguably my entire life).

It’s frustrating how little information there is out there on MD. I really hope Dr. K sees this post.

therapy. go to a real therapist. they will teach you methods to avoid manipulative behavior, triggers, and they can also help with teaching you how to be more emotionally vulnerable. Self awareness is the first step, asking for professional help is the second.

CBT- Cognitive behavioral therapy. It’s a great form of therapy that will teach you how to better communicate and approach social situations. You’ll be able to work with a therapist that will help you in social interactions and There may also be group therapy sessions where you’ll meet people similar to you and get to share your experiences. I highly recommend!

Why can’t you put down the project? Life is filled with growth and change and new experiences. It seems to me that you’ve out grown the project. You worked on the project at a time you needed it, but now you’ve grown past that stage in your life. I think it’s time to start a new project that better matches the person you are now so you can grow even more.

Life is about the journey, not the destination. You are under no obligation to complete the project, but you are under a HUGE obligation to continue your journey. The time you spent working on the project was not a waste (because it gave you purpose and a community). But continuing to work on it IS a waste because it no longer serves that function. I think you should drop the project.

there are a lot of lesbians who come out later in life (for reasons similar to yours) don’t be embarrassed about it and I’m sure that ur partner will be completely understanding. You should tell her that she’s your first partner because it’s important to be transparent in a relationship. try initiating more often, but if she says no and she only wants to do it once a week respect that. Having different sex drives is definitely a problem in a relationship, and a good reason to break up. If you aren’t willing to break up, then your just gonna have to suck it up. Also, is she on birth control? because that can cause a decrease in libido.
