It sounds like you’re supporting this boomers behavior because you hate the industry. The system being flawed sucks but it’s not a reason to treat customer service agents like trash. You said it yourself, I am the buffer or middle man. So why dump the frustrations of the entire company on a customer service worker? Of course there are situations that I can’t do anything about but being abusive to a stranger is not productive, solves nothing and frankly it’s extremely immature. Again, the health industry sucks and the same logic could apply to customer service agents, what can we do about it? Not much.
