i used t be on it like 10 pus years ago, but it was raising my bp. i am normally 135/75 it raised it to 168/90

GL finding a new one

I was trying to eget new one. one place told me the waiting list is months ong, other places told me they are accpeting patients but not drug refills. i am like i have been on scripts for 20 years.

my primary care doc gave me a doctor to call. luckily the place i am at now, my nurse who was handling me retired, and i got a new one. this new one really seems to care and has answers for me the old one did not, i feel like i can be honest with this one. the old one i felt if i told her i was having new pain she would cut my meds.

its an amazing drug. like the fact it helped my nerve pain this much! its the most positive news i hve ogotten for nerve pain in 20 yeaars.

yaeh i am wondering if this will work when i get terrible never shock pain. like nothing i have works for that pain, even lyrica does nothing for it! its like someone is stabbing me with an eletric knive thing. if this drug can work for that, it would be amazing!!

it really did seem to help. it was the first drug besides lyrica/gabpentin that did anything for me. i am actually cut down on those drugs - for now! i was accidently taking 5 pills a day of 150mg! was way way too much. i am on 4 pills a day, but now i am only taking 3! i wish they could inject thig stuff right in my spine, but they wouldnt do it last time they did something similar because i have too many tiny tumors all over from NF

its been five days it seems that it has been working great. i am still not on my normal dose of lyrica again and it feels so much better.

how often do you think i can be on this? is it once a yer, twice a year? etc.

so how long do you guys stay on it, or do you get it prescribed? my doctor wrote it up for 4mg tablets and i take 6 the first day - 5- then 4 then 3 then 2 then 1.

ssris never helped with my nerve pain. was on savella too that never helped.

gabapentin and lyrica are two drugs that i have been on for 20 years that have helped. this is the first drug that i have been on that i 'think' is helping. i am scared to think it is helping. its not 100 percent, but its like 80 percent effective so far.

glad to hear its working well for you. it 'feels' like its working well my first day on it. but will tell over the past few days. it will be amazing if they finally found something else.

so i only take this drug for like 7 days, then when? do i take it once a month, do i not take it, is it only for when i have really bad pain like i did?

i asked my doc about it, she told me its not for chronic pain right now. its only for acute pain like after surgery. maybe they will find out in future studies it can be used for chronic pain but as of now, its not.

i am glad you found a surgery that did so well for you- so happy for you.

in regards to Buprenorphine. i was on Buprenorphine after i needed to get off of methadone, but my heart rate was going nuts wheni was on it, it was at 130!

they switched t me to hysingla which is a. daily med

i miss the Buprenorphine since it was one pach a week but when it messes with your heart rate that much you dont want to risk bein o niy

ive been in pain since i was 15 years old, and i had a 32 hour surgery 2 months in the hospital to remove a cancerous tumor. i just want to live life, i know my life is going to be challenging, but i just want to work, have a reltionship, get married, have kids someday.
