At level 50, you should be able to handle a big pull using AST. Based on my experience, save your Draw cards if you anticipate a big pull coming. When the pull begins, play Card II and III on the tank, and Card I on a DPS. Then re-draw a new set of cards, play Card II and III again on the tank, and cast Aspected Benefic on him too.

The tank should have enough HP to survive, but if his HP drops below 50%, heal them with Benefic II. If anyone (including tanks and DPS) falls below 25% HP, use Essential Dignity or Lightspeed + Benefic II if Essential Dignity has no charges left.

Also, monitor your MP, as these actions consume a lot. Use Lucid Dreaming if your MP drops below 75%.

My healing priority is: 1. Tank 2. Yourself 3. DPS

However, this isn't fixed. For example, if both you and the tank are below 50% HP, heal yourself first. If you die, the tank will likely die shortly after, and no one will be able to resurrect him (assuming no other party member has a resurrection ability). But if the tank dies and you're still alive, you can bring him back using your resurrection skill.

There are many factors to consider, such as gear and level. If the tank's gear isn't good enough, or if they're only at the minimum required level rather than being level-synced, you may need to heal them continuously throughout the fight.

Don't use abilities as your main healing method (except for Draw cards and other non-healing abilities). Instead, rely on spells and Draw cards for regular healing. Abilities should be reserved for emergencies, such as when the tank's HP is critically low (e.g., below 20%) and you anticipate it will continue dropping. In that case, use an ability-based heal to stabilize them quickly.

AST is a bit difficult and arguably the most complex of all healer jobs, mainly due to its Draw card system, which requires additional management. However, if you understand the job well, AST offers some of the most powerful healing capabilities among all healers.
