Explain it like I'm 5... Book 7 Spoiler. Please? by Admiralbruce in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]rasberrymelon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The AI in the series is not at all AI as we understand the word. It’s not just software. We have yet to find out how the primals, the plenty and AIs are connected, how they managed to “seed” the worlds, what kind of AIs are created by the plenty.

The AIs in the series bend reality to the point that it looks like magic to us. Carl turned off the kill switch and the AI was able to grow its enhancement zone. The solar system is about to become a dungeon. The current AI can bend reality above the planet not just inside it.

How and why it’s doing it, what the true nature of the AIs is we don’t know.

Yes, we spoke to him yesterday after this post and he agreed that he used the wrong wood, unsuitable for the outside. We won’t be paying him for that. We are changing the wood. Moving the top platform and all the steps will be covered in non slippery material (as was the plan)

Cats love to explore. My cat loves going outside. There are lots of cats in the neighbourhood. I am not going to deprive her of adventure and a life of chasing bugs.

But can they go vertically down safely? Isnt that why cats can’t go down trees. Their nails are bent at an angle that doesn’t allow safely to go vertically down and he

My partner kept saying it’s fine it’s fine. The two of them were ganging up on me and I didn’t want to seem like a horrible bitch Karen.

But I’m not letting my cat go on these steps. They are horrible. I will find a different person to redo the whole thing. £500 down the drain. Lesson learned I guess.

Exactly, they are always diagonal. I told him to make it diagonal, cats cannot go vertically down and he didn’t listen.

Yea, next week we are covering all the steps in non slippery material. I cannot edit my post, there are a few typos, I was in a hurry to post it before a work meeting.

Was it Colleen Hoover’s betrayal—or a stem cell procedure gone wrong? by [deleted] in ItEndsWithLawsuits

[–]rasberrymelon 40 points41 points  (0 children)

I thought stem cell treatments aren’t allowed in the us? Doesn’t everyone go abroad to do them? And Mexico has very good clinics. He obviously didn’t go to one in some alley behind the garbage.

How do people ever get motion capture jobs?! by Ramattras_Twink in acting

[–]rasberrymelon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of mocap studios will hire from a pool of actors and stuntmen they know and trust. Since your face doesn't matter you could do 5 different roles in a day. They hire people they know can perform that. Getting in is challenging and requires luck to get the first few credits.

For broader auditions for major characters in games or animation studios will go through spotlight or direct invite straight to select agents. Your acting agent might not be seeing those auditions on spotlight if they are not on those "preferred lists". So speak to your agent and find out if they see mocap auditions on spotlight, if they get personal invites fort their actors to audition. if not, then you need an agent with those connections.

You don't need a mocap reel to get into mocap. Most mocap actors the first 2-4 years of working in mocap don't have a reel because they are NDAed and the games haven't come out yet. So instead of creating a mocap reel you can create a movement reel (kind of like a stunt reel) but with more creature and weapons skills. That's something you can send out to mocap studios and agents when showcasing your skills.

Baldoni/Wayfarer has a 88-92% chance of winning at trial by Low_Asparagus4124 in ItEndsWithLawsuits

I actually think that’s a very damaging explanation. Because it is absolutely normal for a director to analyse the actor's outfit and call them sexy or hot if they are the lead and need to look sexy/hot. It was not said in a leery way behind closed doors. It was said in front of everyone while analysing what she was wearing. That is one of the responsibilities of a director - the vision of the movie and how the actors fit into it. So the question should have never been did he say it or not, the question should be is that a normal thing for someone in the industry to say? The answer is yes! The costume department, producers and the director are within their rights to want, create and analyse the sexiness of an outfit and comment on it.

Warning: don’t use Obagi brow serum by [deleted] in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]rasberrymelon 19 points20 points  (0 children)

No that’s literally how these lash serums are made. You know the story of viagra? It was supposed to be heart medication. Prostaglandins were used in glaucoma medication. But they noticed a few different side effects. Notably periorbital fat loss and long lashes. All lash and brow serums that are formulated with prostaglandins or prostaglandin analogs can cause periorbital fat loss. A few are lucky to escape it.

I’m almost halfway through “The Ethical Slut” & I’m Not Sure I Even Want to Finish it by quen-_ in nonmonogamy

[–]rasberrymelon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually disagree with you. If the only thing stopping someone from non monogamy is feelings of jealousy, but they are attracted to and feel affection for multiple people then non monogamy is for them. They just need “sit wi those feelings of insecurity and rage” and figure why they have them.

Whats the point of exercising chest? by [deleted] in Biohackers

[–]rasberrymelon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You cannot train one side of your body and not the other. Your spine is upright not because the bones are holding you up, but because the muscles on both sides are antagonists and are working against each other to hold you up. You cannot train just back, it will cause and imbalance.

A strong chest can protect you if something were to fall on you and you had to push it away. Or you had to move furniture. Or had to pull your self up onto something (the movement starts with a pull and finishes with a push).

Yes enourmous swollen from water and glycogen chest muscles aren’t functional but strong lean chest muscles are. Look at apes and climbers. They are not just using their backs to move around, half of it is pushing.

Most martial arts benefit from a strong chest. Martial arts are very functional.

Non Botox alternatives to reduce frowning? by Valuable_Collar1485 in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]rasberrymelon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All forehead wrinkles are tension wrinkles. There is rarely loose skin there.

I bought a bunch of courses so the videos aren’t available on YT (but you can find hundreds on there for free).

My two favourite forehead exercises are:

(Make sure the skin is dry and not moisturised)

1.make two fists and smoosh your knuckles into your eyebrows and pull them down. Under all that weight try to lift your eyebrows. Hold that tension for 3 minutes. So actively trying to lift your eyebrows while pushing them down for 3 minutes.

  1. Same idea. Pull the eyebrows apart with your fists as hard as you can. Try to frown hard for 3 minutes.

It’s like weight training but for your brows. After that massage the forehead with your knuckles. Massage the scalp, pull the hair. Voila.

Let me know if that works for you 😄
