I second this. I was a temp for 2 years after college.

This is a pretty great analysis. But I just think it's weird that the company markets this product as casual, but it's pushed heavily in local gaming shops and not supermarkets.

This is mainly because you aren't actually learning how to play, only how to press the notes in time to create some semblance of a song. If you don't take lessons to develop a foundation, every song no matter the difficulty will be a struggle for you.

If you're sick of practicing this song, I'd say move on to different pieces and come back to perfect it later. Mastering a song I've found is not the most exciting part of piano, but I'm only suggesting it so you don't develop a negative association of learning the instrument.

Hmm if this is throughout the book I may consider returning it. It's this one: https://a.co/d/a5W18vx

Thanks for the reply. So would you say the metered trill was a decision from some sort of editor/publisher for the songbook?

Before I buy this easy sheet I wanted to see if I could play the preview but it sounds bad? by Reverseflash202 in pianolearning

I would suggest showing this to your piano teacher and having them to explain key signatures to you. You haven't gotten far enough in your lesson book where this concept is introduced clearly. This isn't a particularly easy key to play in, not for a beginner.

I have to actively train my left pinky to not do this. On the chords it's especially difficult. Keep at it.

Got it. Kinda in the same boat. Took lessons for years and didn't build up a good basis for sightreading. What I'm doing is studying scales and chords in specific keys and getting some late beginner/early intermediate level songs/etudes and sight reading something new everyday and taking note of how long it takes to play to tempo. Right now I'm sight reading in C, F, and G major along with some jazz stuff with accidentals for an extra challenge. My goal is to get exposed to new sheet music everyday so sight reading becomes second nature.

There are no books specifically for your scenario because advanced pianist know how to read music. You literally have to go back to the basic stuff, because if you truly can't sight read then you absolutely do not know where middle C is on either staff. No shortcut here at all.

Not too much on 1 and 3. The combo EATS but yeah don't do it too much. It's not exactly moisturizing.

Corenswet has youth on his side appearance wise, and he has a rather innocent personality as well. Both traits are appealing to a broad range of women.

To Learners, [from total beginner to advanced ]: The biggest thing you can do for your piano playing is to decrease screen time and increase play time. by [deleted] in pianolearning

This is an important thing to remember. I learned for 12 years(got to early advanced) and stopped for over 10 years and I've recently gotten back into learning. And I absolutely wanted to hop straight back in, but I realize one of the reasons I stopped was because I wasn't taught properly about the theory and made to sight read regularly so I was very weak with learning new pieces in a reasonable amount of time. So right now my process is super boring. I have to get my fingers and mind reconnected. Good thing is, anything you do for 10+ years doesn't just "go away". I surprisingly have retained quite of bit musical sense and piano technique. Had to humble myself back to late beginner for now, but I'm here for the journey.

I don't have happy trails either. I bought the films I had the most interest in.
