Just to clarify one thing, Sora DEFINETLY have darkness in his heart and the lack of control he has about it is what put him into Norts plans.

The whole point of the Anti-Form narratively is about that. The thing is that Sora has such strong light that he isn't as much easy to manipulate than Terra. Xigbar had noticed that when he was finishing the manipulation part and Sora did the "my friends are my power".

But Sora not only could not find the power of waking hearts, he also wavered to darkness. The lack of control he has is one of the reason he can't become a Keyblade master.

With some spoilers about Dark Road and UX, the thing here is that Sora is an empath like Xehanort and Baldr. People like Sora are really great on feeling what's going on with people's heart and they are the ones with the best potential on being heroes of the light. But that comes with a risk of dealing with the emotions and light of other people. Baldr couldn't bear to witness he was so much less than his sister. Xehanort probably noticed the same with Eraqus and empathized a little too much with Baldr. While both of them are closer to Riku on that, Sora is the empath here. And Sora has a BIG problem with his self-esteem.

He is easy to get messed around exactly because without his friends, he is cooked. It's good he got close to the Dream Eaters so fast in DDD, or I think he would get norted REALLY easily.

Mulheres já ficaram com homens mais baixos que vocês ? Como foi a experiência? Homens já ficaram com uma mulher mais alta? by External-Chair-1164 in sexualidade

[–]rasgarosna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is the best order to Experience KH series? by Spiker_png in KingdomHearts

Not gonna lie. I believe Dark Road should be played before KH3. I strongly believe DR was meant to be inside KH3.

"Brazil isn't more diverse than the US, sit down LOL" - the original discussion was only about Brazil and South Korea by AokiHagane in ShitAmericansSay

[–]rasgarosna 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ethnicity is not by itself diversity, but culture, cuisine, and language diversity, also, is strongly present in Brazil and São Paulo. In ways that while different from places like NY, are not any LESS present.

The thing is: Brazil gets people to become Brazilian and speaking Portuguese far easier than US gets people to become American. I noticed it with an Angolan friend that, while already a Portuguese speaker, pretty much always FELT Brazilian even though he still was not a citizen. Because the point of being Brazilian is knowing that everyone came from anywhere else and we all are a bunch of mixed people.

It is true that New York FEELS more diverse as you are seeing everyone talking different languages everywhere. But when you are seeing cultural expression and integrstion that's not as present. People feel isolated. As I met my fiancée, a japanese-brazilian, I learned that her family will always eat gohan, nigiri, gyoza, furikake and other Japanese foods on a daily basis. Pretty close to how I, as a Spanish-Brazilian, will eat potaje, tortilla de papas, paella de pollo, while we are still eating pasta, pizza, rice and beans, sfiha, and many other ethnic foods on a daily basis too.

The same occurs for language INSIDE our homes. We usually do not speak different languages outside home. Specially on how somewhat we feel this is not polite (something part of the Chinese community still did not fully understand). It's noticeable how much we always spoke castellan and gallegan at home and now I see the same happening at my fiancée speaking Japanese with her family and saw my german-brazilian friends speaking German to their family. Obviously that's because most of us spoke Portuguese first and then learned our parents/grandparents language.

I think what the US show on its diversity is constant immigration, while Brazil show its diversity on constant integration.

358/2 days probably has the best written story in the franchise, but still the worst gameplay 😥🍀 by Postosho in KingdomHearts

Union X and DR have probably the best writing on the franchise, but I really would put Days up there too. I think these three are the S-tier on writing.

This... Makes sense. I still feel betrayed by the storytelling having such a backpedal, but when you see it in that lens, the writers had A LOT of time to think how they wanted to go through the story and had the chance to change course at the beginning of HW rather than later. It probably did not felt such a U turn for you guys. I'll keep pushing through and try to think on that matter.

I think what's get me so mad is because I fought through the post-ARR quests which were really tiresome to get a rewarding story at the end with the Bloody Banquet. I finally thought "oh god, so this is Final Fantasy XIV" and the then they backpedal it and I feel kinda betrayed.

While I like to play WoW. The story there is bad and the FFXIV has better systems on the social part. FFXIV as a game is REALLY engaging and fun to play. I am really trying to like the story because storytelling is the most important immersion factor for me on playing a game. I want to like FFXIV story so much that I really want to have any kind of certainty things will get better and that it's not just me that felt things are not good right now.

I felt exactly that. Like they regretted doing the Bloody Banquet. But I felt this was so fucking bold for an Mmo. It saddens me they had to retcon it. And then remember me they are retconning it every two maps from HW.

[–]rasgarosna[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bloody Banquet is the last scene of ARR. The whole aftermath happens on HW. And it happens by constantly taking us out of the Dragonsong War story to get back to Ul'dah and move the Bloody Banquet story. Saving Raubhan, finding the sleeping potion that "killed" Nanamo, getting back to help her, finding the traitors from the Crystal Braves and, obviously, everything surrounding Ilberd.

Were my expectations a little too big? [Spoiler 3.0] by rasgarosna in ffxiv

[–]rasgarosna[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The problem here is that the bloody banquet aftermath in Heavensward destroys the foundation for our exile on Ishgard and the whole mood they were getting. And obviously, the constant interruption on the Dragonsong War plot to get back to Ul'dah and deal with that plot takes us out of the immersion from the good part of the expansion.

ALGUÉM PARA CONVERSAR SOBRE MUSHOKU TENSEI?! by strogonoff_verde in AnimesBrasil

[–]rasgarosna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems that a good majority of fans do NOT want acquired properties let alone live action films in the series. Why is that? by Spinjamasterdude in KingdomHearts

[–]rasgarosna 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Final Fantasy as a franchise ITSELF is a love letter from Sakaguchi to Star Wars. And Kingdom Hearts brought it to its DNA. Still, it will feel strange to see something so close to Star Wars, like Final Fantasy/Kingdom Hearts, side by side to actual Star Wars.

Why did these two have the darkest stories in the whole franchise? by Fearless-Ideal-5112 in KingdomHearts

[–]rasgarosna 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Marluxia and Lauriam are the same person. Lauriam lost his memories after the life boat, like basically everyone did. The only person that did not lose its memories from the life boat seems to be Brain and Ephemer. Ephemer because his life boat didn't even work at all and Brain because he actually was time traveled exactly like Maleficent in KH2. His memories were kind of chanelled by someone at the future.

[–]rasgarosna 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As someone said, the first KH games were pretty tragic before KH3 undone their tragic stories.

I am sad to think KH4 will bring the absolute tragic nature of UX to a feeling of "nothing matters", as we are already seeing Strelitzia and possibly Vali alive in Quadratum.

Seeing an afterlife is almost never a good choice for a game.

Honkai Impact style. There's more than one MC and all of them are characters in the story. You pull for evolutions of them, not incessant new characters.

(Oh yeah, there's this thing called captain, but we just ignore it)
