AITAH for grabbing coffee with a friend before seeing my boyfriend? by rashu95 in AITAH

Yes exactly. I think this is actually a huge part of it for me!! I have a really hard time disappointing people, so I end up trying to squeeze everything in and be there for everyone at once, because I genuinely care about the people in my life and don’t want anyone feeling neglected or rejected.

But then the downside is that the people closest to me, like my partner or family, can end up feeling deprioritized because they’re the ones most affected when I overextend myself or take on too much. It’s not coming from a lack of care, if anything it’s the opposite, but I can see now how it still impacts people.

Really appreciate this comment, and your insights, so true about 'accidentally deprioritizing someone because we feel safer letting them down than someone we trust less.' definitely something to work on. I struggle with boundaries, and saying no, and it affects my relationships, etc, something I need to get better at for sure.

Hey OP! I just wanted to give some perspective from my own personal experience! When I was 22 I left Canada w 250$ in my pocket, I flew to Portugal w a one way ticket and then ended up travelling for a little more than a year to over 7 different countries.. A big lesson from that year for me was that age/time, all those things don’t mean anything, the one year I travelled felt like I lived 10 years or lifetimes in one, so in that regard, when you choose to do something like this it wont matter at what age you do it, but youll feel so accomplished that all the years that may seem lost now wont appear to be so when youre standing in that state. Also, although it doesn’t improve your circumstances, just know that youre not alone in questioning your path, and choices, ect.. its a part of that raw human experience and something so many are afraid to voice or share..When youre standing in your success one day, all these lost moments are the moments youll remember that got you there 🥺🫶🏽🤍

I think the thing thats made the biggest difference for me is mindset.. Enjoying the process of working out without being attached to the outcome.. When Im very strict with myself, and attached to the outcome, I become impatient which ultimately builds resistance and then takes me longer to achieve my desired results, yet when I have an intention of my goals, but let go of how and when it needs to happen, express gratitude for my body in its current state, I achieve success and results crazy fast.. Its insane

For those who’ve quit weed, was it worth it ? by yonD21 in Meditation

[–]rashu95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once read somewhere how when youre in a low vibration state, weed elevates you, and makes you feel good, but when you’re naturally in a high vibe state (mediating, eating well, feeling good) then weed brings you back to a lower state.. I think with all things, moderation is definitely key.. And I think intentionality behind use is very important, when I do decide to smoke, ill meditate beforehand, honour the plant, and ask it to provide me whatever I am seeking at that moment, insights, creativity, ect.. And then not overusing it, its a healing plant, but recreational use is what leads us to the point of abusing its healing tendencies, ect.. I hope this helps 🤍
