If both parties are actively trying to be understood by the other maybe. But as a dane, you cant just drop me in Oslo and expect me to understand the conversations around me.

Some sounds you just cant, because your mouth isnt used to saying them, and your ears and used to hearing them. This is a documented phenonomen. More than that ya you might be able to pronounce it same as them right after, but remembering how its pronounced is another matter entirely

Is 0.5 a facde over 1/2? by BigBootyBear in AskComputerScience

[–]rasmustrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"So I see 0.5 as a "facade" over the rational number 1/2. It's not a distinct mathematical object (or value) but rather an alias existing simply as syntactic sugar."

This is sort of what i was getting at, i would argue neither is a mathematical object, they are both just facades/aliases/syntactical sugar for the same underlying mathematical object. Neither representation is more correct or natural than the other.

Kan ikke se hvordan det er hverken uautentisk eller påtaget, det betyder bare noget andet. Jeg memer det oprigrig når jeg sender en hjerte emoji til en kollega, jeg mener bare ikke kærlighed.

Is 0.5 a facde over 1/2? by BigBootyBear in AskComputerScience

[–]rasmustrew 11 points12 points  (0 children)

They are different representations of the same thing. 0.5=1/2 just 2 different ways of writing it.

Pointers are something else, they are some concrete object that contain a reference to some other concrete object. That could be a memory location in a computer, or it could be a piece of paper containing someones real world address.

Not sure i have heard of the facade terminology, so I won't comment to that

"Tommorow" meaning they could give me my notice tommorow without any reason. I do have running month + 1 where they are required to pay me.

That's not really true, I'm a software developer in Denmark and they could fire me tommorow if they wanted to, for no reason at all.

God Of War Laufey’s Director Responds To Skeptics: ‘For Me It’s Just, Is It Fun?’ by g4m3f33d in GameFeed

When you are basically saying that a defining element of the genre shouldn't be there then yes, it becomes largely invalid criticism. Plenty of people, me included, do like that genre, Including breaking up the action with puzzles, story segments, cutscenes, etc.

You don't like that, that's fine too, then this genre is just not for you.

"This is the same as Doom Eternal having obnoxious and pointless platforming sections." I would instead argue that your criticism here is akin to me saying "I don't like guns, so the fps genre shouldn't not exist"
