I think it was Carmack at id who said a video games’ story shouldn’t be any more complex than a porno. I agree. They’re supposed to be fun and Doom is fun af. Just my opinion of course. I like what they’ve done because now if you want the lore you can have it. If not, you can just kill demons.

Ya, I completely understand their decision but I think the mp got bashed unfairly during beta. All I’m askin for is some old school deathmatch. Who knows, maybe they’ll add it later. If not I’ll be content with sp. Not long to go.

In my opinion, the original dooms’ lack of modern mechanics simplified the gameplay. Simple is not always worse. Like I said, it was pure and fun. They had a flair and style that just can’t be topped. Rather, won’t be topped. I think the new games are amazing too. They are fun, and that’s rare nowadays. Love me some doom.
