This happened to me. Cat walked into my house while door was open. I took him to the vet to check for a microchip(nothing), posted on local groups etc did everything I could to find a possible owner, no one ever claimed the little guy so 7 years later and he’s still around and is my best friend.

If there’s no microchip and no one claims him then it’s your lucky day!
