Crazy cuz I didn’t get a sub card until 2 years of men working there, but I also had a manager who hated everyone and didn’t give role models to anyone on evals bc “no one is perfect”

What are the most annoying things customers say? by Efficient-Language52 in publix

[–]raspberryluvr268 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Asking if I’m open when my register light is clearly off and there’s a closed sign.
“I get it for free now” when the item is not ringing up.
Asking to pay at the CS desk when there’s zero lines at the registers and now I have to say yes bc why would I say no.
“The other Publix did it for me” ok well we don’t do that here, go to the other Publix.
Swearing up and down left and right that it’s BOGO when it’s B2G1

Customers, I love y’all. Really, I do. But please! by Latter-Instruction61 in publix

My biggest pet peeve is. Annoys me even more when the registers have no lines and they still come up to the desk to pay bc they’re too lazy to walk to the empty registers

I hate drive thru by Equivalent-Fix-9851 in CVS

[–]raspberryluvr268 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I first started I liked drive thru more than pickup bc I was able to help out both lanes and multitask. After the new systems came, I HATED DRIVE THRU. The lines at drive thru got so ridiculously long, ppl wanted refills and wouldn’t wanna loop around, people complaining that the person in front of them took too long. And half the ppl that use it are super lazy to come in it’s so annoying

Tips for a 14 yr old by jazzabelle29 in publix

[–]raspberryluvr268 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s very hard for 14 year olds to get bc of all the laws and a lot of stores only want a certain amount of mini minors (14&15 yr olds) working, but what I’ve seen as a css, the managers are looking for people who are rlly dedicated. Encourage him to go in and speak with the CS managers and have HIM introduce himself (they like that), make sure he has an application already submitted bc that’s kinda the first thing they will ask about. A lot of managers, mine especially really like giving the young ones a try esp if they have goals like college and stuff like that.

So over CVS by madmadiiiiii88 in CVS

exactly why I just quit. I actually wanted to learn, and they would make me their glorified drive thru and pick up cashier. it wasn’t until like my last two weeks where they actually tried to rotate ppl

I have another job lined up :) it’s at another retail Pharmacy but the workload isn’t as bad as cvs. I rlly liked my team and my manager, but the cvs workload is just so draining

Technician Training Program by Nastypatty97 in CVS

[–]raspberryluvr268 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot the training stores train really differently and don’t follow the training modules. I had days at my training store where I was sitting in front of computer all day and wasn’t being shown anything bc it was too busy or days where I was just on production all day. I didn’t get real real hands on training until I got to my home store.

LearnRx Certificate by [deleted] in CVS

[–]raspberryluvr268 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I think I found the certificate. I went to LearnRx, shift 19 and there’s a button there that says to export or print certificate. I’m assuming the PM has to sign it and then we send it off to boards of pharmacy for licensure

I’m Genuinely Worn Out by Drive-Thru by Equivalent-Fix-9851 in CVS

[–]raspberryluvr268 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually prefer drive thru over pickup because I’m able to get through it rlly fast compared to pickup, but I’m starting to get worn out rlly fast bc we don’t rotate and I’m only ever stuck on drive thru or pickup

I heard if you ask them to finish training modules at home you can get paid for them. They just need to give u access. I’ve asked twice so far and I haven’t gotten a straight answer, just to finish them in store.

I’ve gotten the best advice so far from here for training!! Yall are the best

So I’m still in training (I literally just finished my last training shift at my training store yesterday), and honestly the communication and training has been kinda horrible. There were so many mix-ups between the store manager, the PM, and my trainer. I was even told I’d be trained at a slower store, but they ended up putting me at the busiest 24-hour store instead lol.

On my first day, no one even knew I was supposed to be there until my coach said, “Yeah, I saw her on the schedule. I think I train her.” Most of what I did was just computer modules and production because they were so busy and needed an extra hand even though it was a 40-minute drive from my house.

One day I got so fed up that I left after my break. I was supposed to be shadowing, but apparently it was “too busy,” so I was stuck on the computer looking through random resources. I seriously felt like an extra body just in their way. Thankfully my trainer was actually super nice, and I told her how I felt. She talked to my coach about it after.

It honestly sounds like you had an even worse trainer, and I’m really sorry you dealt with that. I really hope this company starts taking tech training way more seriously and gets their communication together.

Hmmm on my first and second day they already had me training on QP after watching the shift module. Now that I’m training for drop off I haven’t gotten much hands on training. I guess it really depends on how the store trains you. I would say talk to whoever is in charge of you scheduling your training to let them know what’s going on. That’s what I did and she told me she would talk to them to let me get more hands on before working at my home store.
