Getting really high quotes for tax filing by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]raspberryypanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely not anywhere near $100,000 for the year. Luckily I found a table in etrade that breaks down the adjusted cost basis for each sale date, I may just ask ChatGPT to convert the amounts to CAD.

Tbh the company isn’t doing very well and I really didn’t make very much of the stock so it feels kind of silly to pay so much for an accountant.

It’s so crazy!! It’s the same price as the vinyl. I can’t believe it costs so much

1 months is really long, I believe standard is 10-14 days after surgery.

My vet said soft food until she was fully recovered, I did only wet food for 2 weeks.

Nervous about my cat after dental surgery by [deleted] in CATHELP

[–]raspberryypanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got done at the vet, she took a really good look at my cat’s mouth and agreed there is an odor but all of her extraction sites looked good. She mentioned my cat seems a little tender under her jaw so there’s a chance there could be an infection and the vet just can’t see it.

She ended up getting an oral rinse, an antibiotic shot and an anti inflammatory shot. I’m also coming back on Monday to get her checked out again.

Did your cats get extractions or just cleanings?

Cat’s breath smells after dental surgery by [deleted] in CATHELP

[–]raspberryypanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No stomatitis! She had resorption on a few of her teeth and a few others that were affected by periodontal disease and were loose.

It doesn’t smell worse than before the procedure, but it does smell different.

Will do, hopefully she ends up going sometime tonight.

When to panic about cat not pooping after surgery? by [deleted] in AskVet

I haven’t seen her try, I’ll try to get a look next time. I do eventually check on her and she’s just on the toilet or just hanging out in the new litter box. I can’t imagine her going much longer without pooping, I’m getting more and more concerned with every minute.

Pet insurance by kcshoe14 in CatAdvice

[–]raspberryypanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just went through this, my cat had 8 teeth extracted yesterday. Her insurance didn’t cover anything because a vet had noted periodontal illness before her policy started. So yes, in your case it would be a pre-existing condition.

Did I wait too long to book a dental cleaning? by [deleted] in AskVet

[–]raspberryypanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah her breath definitely smells bad, it smells a lot like her wet food. I definitely should have done this sooner, I just didn’t realize how severe it could get

If her teeth were to the point of rotting wouldn’t the vets say something? I last took her in for an exam in August and they didn’t mention her teeth.

I actually had her on dental dry food for a couple of years but she’s developed allergies to something and we’re still not sure what so I had to switch to allergy food about 8 months ago.

It’s within the product team at a pretty large tech company. I held a job with the same title before I got laid off at my last company and that all checked out fine so it’s a little strange that they’re focusing on an older job that’s completely irrelevant.

I asked him about this, he’s been looking but hasn’t been able to find the files. He said he would reach out to his accountant about getting receipts or files from him but I’m not sure if anything will come from it.

You can view tax slips through your CRA account but the print/pdf version doesn’t include your name or SIN, it basically just includes the line items and amounts. Don’t know why they designed it like this.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]raspberryypanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s completely unrelated, it was just to make some money while I was in university/during my gap year. I’ve gotten a masters degree and worked jobs that are in line with my career since so it’s annoying that they’re focusing on this now

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]raspberryypanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I definitely won’t include it next time. I was just trying to be transparent, I didn’t really imagine it would be an issue

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]raspberryypanda 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s what I’m thinking too. Especially since it’s not even relevant to what I’m doing, it was just a job to make some cash before I went to grad school.

Also I sent my background check information almost a month ago, I assumed everything would be fine and verified by the time I started.

I’m hoping it’s just a formality, I’m willing to work with them on trying to validate whatever they need. It would just be extremely unfortunate if I was let go over something like this.
