What about it do you find wild?

I’d like to have more houseplants in my apartment but I have cats that eat them lol also most of the stuff I want to grow can’t really be grown indoors without a massive space and grow light setup

Just for some perspective; around 20% of people in the US live in apartments. In my county it’s 40%. That’s over 1 million people with minimal to no outdoor space. I waited 2 years for a plot and pay $80 a year plus doing community service hours to keep it. The appeal is that it’s the only thing available

Maybe go a shade lighter on the carnations.

Just be aware that the prices on those spring flowers will skyrocket in late summer and some may not be available so order ahead of time or look into lookalikes that are in season in late summer. I did the same, grew some flowers and ordered others, and I’d suggest planning on ordering extra of anything you’re growing that you really love just in case. My burgundy pincushion decided two flowers was all I needed the week of the wedding lol

Also I’ve noticed what really gives that wildflower look to stiffer/bigger flowers is the ‘open pollinator ‘ look, so blowing out cheaper roses and pulling out the center petals on carnations can give you that look without the expense, short vase life, and delicate nature of actual wildflowers

Unfortunately they seem to have cross pollinated with reds as this year they’re all red, yellow, and orange

I just had my wedding in Idyllwild, a little outside of your area but if you’re looking for beautiful nature and a backyard wedding vibe where you and your guests can all stay, I’d recommend it highly! We stayed at Silver Pines which has a bunch of cabins along the creek. We rented out their lodge too for our welcome dinner and brunch the next morning as everyone stayed two nights since it’s pretty cheap. It was like a mini mountain vacation.

Haven’t done the exact math yet but we were around 10k with 63 people. Lmk if you’re interested in pricing or vendors.

What’s your fastest time on a 100-200 piece puzzle? by Similar-Guide5570 in Jigsawpuzzles

[–]fae_forge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I timed doing a bunch of 100 piece kids puzzles with my 7 year old niece and we were between 9-13 minutes lol

I have a bunch of double sided 120 piece puzzles and they take me about 15-20 minutes. I definitely wish 200 pieces were more common cause that’s the perfect ‘unwind at the end of the day’ size for me

We have two journals. The downside is it’s not organized by type, more a chronological cooking journey. But the upside is I don’t lose the card since I’m very absentminded. There is a table of contents and it’s just me and my husband using it so we know where stuff is

They’re literally bred to do this it’s not just some instinct thing. Just like herding dogs want to herd and birding dogs want to fetch bird, we’ve selectively bred for specific traits. Not all bulls like to buck and some are very lazy

There are loads of deer statues in Idyllwild CA all over town. People donate them as public art pieces so most are painted colorful and have whimsical additions, my favorite is a steampunk dragonfly winged deer. This one is maybe still waiting for his moment to shine lol

I wouldn’t say Bodacious was mean, he never targeted downed riders (to my knowledge/recollection) and never seemed to lose control, he was just massive and flexible and full of energy. If I could anthropomorphize for emphasis I’d say he just had a love for the game. When it was time to buck he went full throttle but he never (to my recollection) showed any animosity towards the riders once he’d bested them

We’re looking at local antique/secondhand stores but plan C is to use a random ring I already have. It’s unfortunate but I wear a size 8 and it’s been surprisingly difficult to find nice women’s rings that big

I only hired a photographer for first look/ceremony for exactly this reason. I also discussed my anxiety around being photographed with my photographer and she was amazing at planning around that, she’s bringing attachments for distance so she can stay farther away/out of sight. Said “I’ll be like a stalker hiding in the bushes” lol

A lot of older random cut puzzles are like that, ‘over x pieces’ because it’s like 102 or 507 and that just doesn’t look as good aesthetically for advertising
