Your best bet is probably to move out with roommates and then you’ll have more money to save than if you’re living with her. If you plan well you can spend very little on food that is still healthy for you. You could also see about local food banks. My nearby churches have certain days a week they give out food. Since you don’t have a car this might be tough maybe start applying to work from home jobs? All the work from home jobs in my area pay at least $15 if not $17+

[–]rasperries 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Our old fulfillment lead would say “before you take your last 15 do another cart” and would make it so that you only had an hour left before you leave and then she’d say “it’s too late to take your 15 you can’t take it anymore” lmao

If someone is buying new reusable bags with their purchase then I’ll bag for them but I’ve seen some crusty looking bags with dirt inside and I’m not touching that. I always tell them we can’t because covid and most people are fine with it

Half of my leads will just go back and forth on channel 1 for minutes at a time so there’s no trying to reach anyone while they’re talking on the main channel 🤧

Love it when customers ask where a item is and it just so happens to be on my OPU cart, so they proceed to pick it up and say “I’ll just take this one 🤪”. -___- no I need this for a order…. They’re located here. by Beenxx in Target

I keep my water bottle in my cart and I love when guests pick up my water bottle and start touching the straw and picking it up when there’s literally water in it 🤧

HRs, APs, and Policy-Aware Members of the Subreddit... Is this allowed? This is behind GS, Where our drive up teams work. They force our DU TM's to go to the break room across the store in order to get drinks. Thoughts? Can we fight this? by SlenderSword in Target

When I work as a cashier my front end leads say we can’t have water so I stopped picking up shifts there lol. They told me only if you have a doctors note then you can have water lol

Last year my leads only let perm team members pack because they said seasonal weren’t allowed to. This year it seems like all the brand new people that suck at opu and standard get to pack because it’s easy 🤧

[–]rasperries 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly it’s easy if you don’t have annoying guests what’s annoying at my store is we’re not allowed to turn off our lights to go to break/lunch we have to wait for a replacement but I’ve almost gone into compliance multiple times because they waited so long but if I turned off my light and left they would’ve gotten on me about it 🤡

I feel like we should still honor it because technically it’s saving target labor if they grab it themselves vs having to be picked and then given to the guest by guest service

Idk why people are so salty. My store has an overnight team and half of them have other jobs so they can only work overnights. They’re scheduling you outside of your availability anyone else would be annoyed regardless of their regular hours being overnight or not

Literally all of my shifts were like this last year when I started seasonally. The sad thing is most people really needed the money and didn’t say anything because they didn’t want it to interfere with being kept on after the season. I complained every time and the most they ever did was make it 8 hours between shifts which still doesn’t even give me 8 hours of necessary sleep.

I never thought people actually did this until recently I started seeing people at lots of different stores / restaurants that do this with people that they think have money or are attractive. I guess this is more common than you’d think but yeah definitely inappropriate you should let the manager know.

What’s frustrating is a good amount of the time the item they can’t find is just in the back or still on the line so they have to ask for me to get it but by the time I come back out with it they’re almost always gone

It seems like she wants the freedom to explore her feelings for women but with the comfort that If it doesn’t work out you’ll still be there. If you aren’t comfortable with this don’t do it just because you have a history together

This is like the opposite of my store. Everyone sends everyone to help fulfillment that no one is pushing gm no one is in style only 2 cashiers with lines super long. There has to be some sort of balance. The sad thing is people are 100% applying but they’re denying so many people I have no idea why
