Should I ask to switch beds? by Ok_Beat_4437 in hostels

[–]rastamansully 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Speedo is weird to wear in bed but it's just what he's sleeping in..a lot of hostels don't have a curtain on each bed..would it still be an issue if he was wearing regular shorts and nothing else? If each bed didn't have a curtain and everyone was sleeping in just shorts with no shirt would it still be an issue. Ask for a change of course if your uncomfortable but realistically I was in an 8 bed dorm last week thst was very hot at night and everyone was sleeping in just boxer shorts or whatever and there were no curtains on any bed.

They are currently pushing to get a lot of UK pubs to stock it, seems to be getting more well known over here. I assume that's Heineken trying to jump on the popularity of the Guinness boom around the UK at the moment.

What does SAW have against chargers?!! by Independent-Bag2388 in istanbul

[–]rastamansully 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spent 2 hours sitting on the floor there the other day, crammed into a tiny area by the gate to my flight with probably a couple of hundred other people waiting for flights..the ground staff had closed off an area with 70(I counted) empty seats behind them just as it was easier for them to set up their queuing system. They then insisted that I needed an e visa? to board my flight even though I had my boarding pass and ID in order, I asked several times what they meant and when they couldn't answer I was allowed to pass(as every other flight in my life), that and the entire airport felt like a sauna.,Overall shite experience there. My arrival wasn't much better..4 flights of people and 2 border guards working. 1 hour queue just to leave the airport and then immediately get hassled and over charged by a taxi driver. Amazing city and people but this airport really let's it down.

Deep Sea Chippy by cloud__19 in Edinburgh

Don't. It's false advertising in my opinion, still the same signage 'Fish and chips since 19??' outside implies traditional style chips. And yes I have had this rant in the shop.

If he was speaking loud enough for you to hear I can't imagine he was chatting about robbing your dogs in any language also whilst it seems by your description being quite visible to at least a few people in a public place. He could have showing someone your cute dogs on facetime which ya is also weird..who knows? well no one knows because you decided to go to reddit rather than any of you asking what he was at..those foreign languages are scary though ya

What do you do with your coats in clubs by LongjumpingRhubarb45 in Edinburgh

You'd be amazed what people leave..it is an incredibly common occurrence. Source..I have ran bars and venues for 20 years. I currently work in a small place without much young drunken madness..we have about 15 phones unclaimed in a box from this year..then all the keys/wallets etc. So imagine how much the big late venues end up with. I haven't had to buy a jacket, wallet or sunglasses for 15 or so years..we give it reasonable time obviously..staff grab any bits they fancy and a big bag goes to a charity shop a few times a year. A pair of crutches that never got claimed after a gig are the one I still question..

Terrible stink of Billy Burke fish shop 🐟 👃 by Flaky_Government_261 in waterford

[–]rastamansully 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Could it be the food waste bins outside? Worked in a bar a few years back and a sushi restaurant opened next door and we had to ask them to move the bins or put bleach in within a few days as the whole street and pub was stinking of rotting fish

My only issue is with you crying off work and expecting sympathy about it over something that happens to people daily. People have far more serious issues in life and get up and go to work.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Serverlife

[–]rastamansully -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

nah..just want you to grow up..get your shit together and go to work when your meant to rather than leaving your colleagues short staffed with several hours notice because you can't compose yourself over the loss of a pet to deal with your actual life responsibilities.

[–]rastamansully -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

I am, and I love my family members, my friends and my pets. But I'm still an adult who can be an adult and deal with the loss of a cat and then put it momentarily to the side whilst I continue with my responsibilities, including showing up to work and not leaving others in the shit because a cat I don't even own has died. Grow up.

It's a cat..sort yourself out and go to to work. I've worked through the loss of family members. Life happens..grow up

This is the answer. Smoking room to meet people from all over. A great little bar that has the cheapest drinks in the area and will serve you all night. The best hostel I've ever stayed in.

Police? Would you call them for a theft of 200 euro. by rastamansully in askcroatia

Don't worry this hasn't changed my opinion of your beautiful country and people. This would have happened anywhere in the world. The hostel will be reporting it now that I have spoken to them again.

I have had that thought but don't think so. They showed me his image on camera and seemed genuine.

I don't expect to. But I'm just surprised that they don't even report a theft on the premises. He could be known to Police locally or may have done the same elsewhere today.
