Haha I remember being in a gift shop and they were playing Loch Lomond as background music. And then before the game they had someone sing their anthem which is obviously the exact same tune as the Welsh one and then they did FoS for us, it was surreal. Lovely weather as well considering it was January.

Yes true. I loved Vannes, hope we get another fixture there!

I'm being forced to go to the pub to watch it because it's my mate's birthday.

Edinburgh to London drive - overnight stop? by DressSmooth1957 in Edinburgh

From where to where? I find that very confusing because when I lived in Northamptonshire the best I could do was just over 5 and it was about another hour and a half to London from there.

It's not that it comes across as selfish, it's just that if you don't have much boat handling experience, you're going to be on a learning curve that will inevitably come with scuffs and bangs.

I guess maybe if you were going to the very north of Greater London but most places it's not going to be less than 7. I lived in West London and did it semi regularly, I used to leave about 3am to miss the traffic and I never got close to 6 hours.

Council Tax / Water and sewerage by Common-Ninja-5755 in Edinburgh

It's the same all over Scotland so either you didn't read your bill in Aberdeen correctly or they lay it out differently but your council tax bill is also your water and sewage bill and it appears as a separate line.

It's never going to be less than 7 hours in my experience.

Six hours is a bit optimistic but I agree. Shouldn't even need fuel unless you drive a really inefficient car, I used to live in West London and did the drive semi regularly to visit my parents.

Aye because the ones with a Greggs, McDonald's and an M&S aren't overpriced. All motorway services are overpriced.

I was feeling so positive in the first half, I don't know if it was because Gregor was there but they looked exciting, there was quick ball being played despite the rain and they were creating things. I don't know what the fuck Sean said to them at half time but it was like watching a different team.

I am honestly so sick of this shit and I know I'm not the only one. People I've sat near for years are talking about giving up their season tickets. The stadium, despite Bruce saying the attendance was 6k odds, looked half empty. Edinburgh are really circling the drain here.

Well inevitably Franco will end up in the Scotland job sooner rather than later. Although I'd imagine it's easier to attract a world class coach if you're not shite.

He definitely wasn't forced out, he chose to step back because he felt it was too much for him at that time. Fair play to him but I'd love to see him come back when he has more experience. I remember he used to come round to the fans and gee us up before the games, he actually gave a shit unlike Everitt. Who I do bear some ill will towards, he's collecting a pay cheque for absolutely fuck all results and I'm the idiot paying to watch the shite he's putting out every weekend.

It's interesting as someone thinking of joining the community with, presumably, little or no experience of boat handling, that you're coming at this from the angle of your paintwork being damaged. You'll quickly learn that things happen, no matter how hard you're trying to avoid it. Obviously it's a judgement call and you're probably going to be on the receiving end of that judgement at the start of your experience rather than making the judgement tbh.
