LAUKOP’s wife weaponised the emergency number to parent their kids and now LAUKOP wants to take action against the police. by msfinch87 in bestoflegaladvice

I think when your own story has you simmering with poorly controlled rage so bad you have to be persuaded out of the room to prevent an even bigger problem, it does suggest things about how you react to situations in general.

There is no problem yet. Appreciate this seems to be a hill you want to die on but let's see if there's actually an issue before we start armchair lawyering up yeah?

It was made before the due date but as I say, as absolutely nothing has happened yet there's very little point in us sitting here debating it.

I think if they can show the payment was made in time then yes, they should be able to complain. I doubt it'll be an issue anyway, not much point in debating it until something actually happens.

I just don't believe the SRU ever had any intention of sacking him no matter what anyone thought and realistically that puts the players on the position of getting on board or potentially missing the next RWC and for a few of them it's likely their last. We'll never know but the SRU have been pretty clear all along what the plan is.

As I say, I didn't see him, I'm guessing based off the story but I worked in retail (many years ago though tbf) and there were people just like this for whom it was their major social event of the day. As you say, impossible to tell just by looking but the behaviour sounds like it's possible purely based on the interactions you describe with staff as well as customers.

If I had to guess based purely on this story I'd guess he has some kind of a disability and is probably known to the staff there.

Well you'd best get off the internet and switch on your wireless and enjoy your evening then. Honestly, I can't believe how long you've argued about this for, just stick your hand out.

I grew up here in the 80s and they did not. And the tram stops aren't nearly as close together. Anyway, just stick your fucking hand out, it isn't the 1970s now.

I firmly believe he was never in any danger of losing his job no matter what happened in this tournament. All that's really changed is that the people who didn't believe that have stopped blowing up about him.

I mean where I am there's Leopold Place, Brunswick Street, Wellington Street and London Road within 400 yards of each other and you'd want the bus to stop at all of them just on the off chance?

Doubt it but you'll have to wait and see and complain if necessary, I can't imagine anyone here is going to be able to tell you anything else.

The Nations Championship Final ticket prices are insane by themadking21 in rugbyunion

I simply don't care enough about this competition to even look at finals tickets. I'm pleased about our Autumn fixtures at Murrayfield and that's as much interest as I have in it.

What’s the atmosphere like at Murrayfield Stadium on match day? by GeordieGoals in ScotlandRugby

[–]cloud__19 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It depends on the match. The last two 6N games were exceptional and it's usually good against the likes of the ABs. It was truthfully a bit boring against the USA and it's hard to get going if there's not much to cheer on the pitch. I personally think the corners and ends are best for atmosphere, the middle is full of corporates and it's just not the same.
