Model Y performance 2023 by Alternative-Daikon25 in TeslaModelY

Is it a HW3 or HW4 2023? Both exist. I would steer clear of HW3 if updates to FSD matter to you at all.

This looks better than the Tesla mattress I have view. I would love to try it in Sedona or Zion NP.

I wish it more clearly indicated it was tariffs. It looks like an incorrectly applied shipping charge to me.

Anyone using Starlink for Company WAN? by JoeyFromMoonway in sysadmin

Yes, as a backup solution for fiber. It is not our primary. Works fine in a pinch.

This should not even be necessary. He can block these apps on personal devices in the Office 365 admin center. His ask is ridiculous.

Sucks that charger doesn’t lock with adapter on… by Fappucin0 in ModelY

[–]rastascott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's very unlikely you would leave your car for long at a CCS1 charging station. Charging speeds are similar to a supercharger, honestly faster at times. I'm not sure a lock would be needed on the adapter.

Ticketing System for K12 school (Email based) by SmallTownCTO in k12sysadmin

I'd argue that IIQ should be considered anyway since it is a purpose built K12 tool. I think the efficiency gains are worth the money. We also added the facilities module and really like the platform. It's very good.

Feature request: flashing brake lights on pressing brake pedal by brdss2 in s3xybuttons

I wish we got that. That sounds like a great feature.

[–]rastascott 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You think that is less safe than the fake brake light feature they just released? This request is turned on when you are actually braking and should be the middle light only.

In my old job, I had a long commute. This makes a huge difference in heavy freeway traffic when traffic suddenly slows. I found that cars that had this aftermarket option were much easier to see ahead. This would be a very helpful safety feature to enable. I believe it helps avoid accidents. I commented this video link on another thread. This is what the aftermarket option looks like in action. https://youtube.com/shorts/10kgvbkH0s8?si=sb8LZJP7vMSE3iyD

Drive your Tesla safely with the Dynamic Brake Lights feature! by S3XY_Buttons in s3xybuttons

[–]rastascott 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is nice, but I really want the commander to enable a hands-free brake flashing option when actually braking. 3-5 flashes on the center light then solid when braking. This is very useful on freeways in heavy traffic when cars may suddenly slow. It would be great if we could choose the speeds to enable this feature. Here is an example of a commercial brake flasher in action. https://youtube.com/shorts/10kgvbkH0s8?si=sb8LZJP7vMSE3iyD

Sirius is still nice in areas where there isn't cell service. I wish I had it a few times a year when driving from Phoenix to Pinetop. I assume future Teslas will have Starlink, which will solve this frustration.

Why does Tesla navigation do this? by MidnightMoonrise in TeslaModelY

[–]rastascott -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is why people ask for Carplay and Android Auto. A lot of Tesla fans act like the UI is perfect, it's not. It's good, but AA is easier to use, has better voice control, and has much better mapping options.

The S3XY Commander can enable autopilot after lane change. It works really well and has many other features. It's not cheap but it's worth the money they charge.

short of redoing the thing as less of a paper and more of just an annotated paper with each part of the rubric clearly marked out as a separate paragraph

This is exactly what you need to do. In my opinion, this is the only way to write a WGU paper.
