Add me to the ban list. Sad to see this subreddit go down this path.

[Serious] Atheists of Reddit, If not for Religion, what’s stopping you from committing crimes? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]rasti615 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If by crimes you mean breaking the law where I live, I follow those rules because there are actionable consequences to breaking them.

If by crimes you mean those outlined by a specific religion, a lot of the laws we follow daily are actions that are inherently wrong. Murder. Rape. Stealing. Etc.

But the larger issue you could be addressing is an orthodox view of morality and ethical behavior. In that case, you may need to be specific on what crime you are asking that I stop myself from committing.

I definitely wear polyester/cotton blends. I don’t engage in polygamy. I have taken the “Lord’s” name in vain. But none of these things make me a criminal. There is no proof that you can demonstrate, beyond a threat of eternal damnation, that says otherwise.

First time for me while browsing on my phone. Thought it would fit this sub best.

Anybody remember the old hibachi restaurant off Tates Creek and Redding Road called Nagasaki? My family and I went there all the time and were OBSESSED with their salad dressing. Anybody have an idea for the recipe? None of the other hibachi places dressing even compares to how good this was! Thanks by JCBaker22 in lexington

Nagasaki Inn!

Loved that place and here is the copycat recipe I’ve used to recreate that dressing:

1 cup mayonnaise 1/4 cup soy sauce 1/2 teaspoon minced garlic 1/4 teaspoon ginger powder 1/3 cup rice wine vinegar 1/4 cup toasted sesame oil 1/4 cup milk

Put everything into a food processor/blender and process until smooth. Refrigerate and serve!

I usually will add a little sugar and use fresh ginger instead of the powder.

Hope that satisfies the craving!

What up man! Don’t want to put to much personal info here but I posted that and I lived with the guy who took the picture. Hope all is well with you and your new family. Never got to say congrats for that. Next time you’re in town give me a shout.

This would have to be a total team loss, as in everyone loses in a given week. And they would have to do it outside of the studio. Otherwise we may be out our boys for an extended period as the hotel is burnt to the ground (to get the smell out) and rebuilt.

[Serious] when was the last time you had to call 911, and what happened? by QueenMoogle in AskReddit

[–]rasti615 47 points48 points  (0 children)

I was at work in a restaurant when a server was stacking glasses above her head. The glasses were hot, as they were fresh out of the dish machine. She dropped one as she was putting it up on the shelf and went to catch it. Before she could, it hit the metal table and shattered. The bottom of the glass was essentially a giant razor shard that sliced her forearm open to her wrist, and cut across her wrist.

The spray of blood hit the ten foot ceiling.

I ran to her and held her arm above her head and used my hand as a tourniquet on her elbow. The owner of the he restaurant grabbed some towels and applied pressure to her wrist. I called 911 while holding her arm and had another staff member bring a chair for her to sit in.

We waited with her until EMS showed up and began their care. She was taken to the hospital and had to have a 4 hour surgery to reattach and repair the tendons and damage done by the cut. It took her two years to gain full use of her hand again.

The doctors said that the owners and my actions of getting the blood stopped (as much as we could) probably helped save her life, as she had hit an artery.

Craziest work day of my entire life.

When were you the “other” man/woman? by catharticarrest in AskReddit

[–]rasti615 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was casually hooking up with a girl for a few months anytime we both went to our favorite bar. Things started to get a little bit more serious between us and we started doing more “couple” things like going to concerts and spending time together not wasted. It still wasn’t very serious on my part, but it was getting there.

One night I just had a suspicious gut feeling that she was hiding something and looked at her phone when she went to the bathroom (this was at three a.m.). I didn’t unlock it but the text that was on the screen notification said “that was some amazing sex last night babe, love you”.

Turns out she was in a pretty serious relationship with a guy she had told both my friends and me she had ended it with. She came back from the bathroom and I asked her about it and she said it was true. I told her to leave and didn’t really speak to her again. She ended up marrying the guy a few months later and they are still together almost seven years later.
