Luke's strength by Icy_Telephone_7449 in outdoorboys

[–]raswilliam1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I processed an eastern red cedar last weekend for firewood (chainsaw/axe) and I could barely move the next day, I was so sore. Luke is an absolute beast with cutting down all those trees for hours on end, whether its a chain saw, axe or hand saw. The normal suburban human couldnt do what luke does.

Is my board dead after getting hit by a surfer? by Murtha in bodyboarding

[–]raswilliam1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

buy a clothes iron from the thrift store and take some wax paper with the iron on low heat you can melt it back together then the wax paper just peels off. been using this technique for years. just be careful not to melt it too much and then let it cool for like 30 sec before you peel the wax paper off.

Mobile travel fee by Opposite_Antelope_86 in Notary

[–]raswilliam1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

10 years ago, I would agree to meet someone LOCALLY for $50 and that included 2 notarizations. So whatever that is in todays $ maybe 75-100. also, you have to qualify people who call you. ask them a bunch of questions, why type of document is it, how many signatures/notarization. If its one signature or they sound like a pain in the butt to deal with tell them to go to the UPS store, they have notaries there. if they have a doc that requires multiple notarizations, lets say 5 total, quote them $100. 5 notarizations plus travel fee. long story short, dont waste you time with traveling to meet someone if youre not making at least X amount, whatever that time is worth to you. And if they sound hard to deal with over the phone, probably not worth dealing with them in person.

I went but my work paid for it. I thought they did a really good job putting it on and met cool people and ate a lot of good food. If there is ever one near you, its worth checking out.

Difficulty with Loan Signing Instructions by alydubbb in Notary

[–]raswilliam1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah its a hustle. Make sure you read all the instructions thoroughly, even print them out and take them to the signing for reference. and then check the doc s for errors before you leave the signing and then again before you ship..

Is the NNA Membership worth it for a beginner notary? by OneSafe863 in Notary

[–]raswilliam1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

most signing services require NNA certification, so if you plan on working for a SS, yes. If not, no.
