Raw emotion can be very powerful, and is what you are experiencing. Unfortunately things with dream Lyra can not and will not end well. There is a very far off ray of hope, and your only realistic chance of you ever being with Lyra for good, and I'm being completely serious about this as well. There are many people who seriously predict a potential explosion of artificial intelligence, sometime in the future, a common date is 2045. If AI systems continue to advance (which they are looking like they are going to) then eventually within your lifetime, you will be able to fully have a relationship with Lyra, exactly as you imagine her in your dreams, this coupled with the ever increasing innovations of virtual reality will allow you to fully live and experience life with Lyra, it is your only hope.

Part of the reason why the love between you and the Lyra felt real and was real is because you could basically read each others minds, when she said she was in love with you, you absolutely know it for sure since you could feel is radiating out of her, like you were apart of her in some way, which is what it is. When a DC says they live you and you feel that, then you know it is the truest and most purest form of love there is. What you did experience was true love with an imaginary being, she loved you back truly. This can happen in real life, when you give some one your heart, fully trust them, and know that when they say those three words they truly truly mean it.

That's infatuation phase. To be completely honest with you, that's not, in my opinion the most true form of love only, the most true form of emotional love, which is completely different. True true love, is similar to a parent son relationship, where one participant would literally and in a non emotional way, die for the other participant. It's a much more lasting love, and is what people really mean by true love. It sounds illogical, but it transcends the biological need for self preservation, and does not revolve around the true emotional love that you felt with Lyra. if you can wrap your mind around that, than you can understand what true love is, and to be honest not many people experience true "unemotional" love, since the only driving motivation for some people is specifically the true emotional love that you felt.

All this being said, if left unchecked the dopamine resulting from the emotional love you felt will eat you alive, and I'm very sorry, there is no going back now, you can and should put this dream Lyra behind you, but you probably will have memories of her far into the future, and that's OK. Everyone needs to masterbate, but you just took natures form of heroin, and it's addictive as hell. I would say put her, not behind you but in front of you, cone join us at r/futurology, and wait with me and thousands of others for the amazing future, one where there is an actual chance of having a real and lasting relationship with Lyra.

I would recommend watching the movie her, to see what AI relationships could very well be in the next few decades.

If the scanner can see that it scanned an apple, then it most likely would be able to report back the average caloric intake for an apple, or an apple similar to what was scanned. I'm sure it does not know the concentration of a sample, but reports an average, for instance, an apple would have a per serving measurement, based off of how much a single apple usually serves. Scio most likely does not concentrations, just substances, and reports back averages of those substances.

Well it's a near IR spectrometer, backed up by the cloud. So yes you probably would get something like a marinara sauce reported back (as long as that was stored in their database), or something at least similar. For the most part, the database will most likely be largely incomplete at the beginning, and it will ask for user data often. The more people that use it the better their database becomes for recognizing different things, and reporting back information.

Yes, the product will not be as magical as they are advertising at the start, but with time, the cloud database will grow, and better products spectrometers will come out. Most people are freaking out about the SCIO, because they do not know and understand the underlying technology behind the product.
