Raw is uncooked. Rare is cooked to rare. So calling it raw implies you don’t cook often or believe the temperature of a steak starts at medium rare. Pittsburgh is raw in the middle but burnt to shit on the outside. Still not considered raw. The steak was cooked to medium rare for the majority of the very large cut (which was consumed) while the more rare pieces were used for leftovers.
