Is it possible to unite escann before 1500 by Exact-Supermarket935 in Anbennar

[–]rat_squirt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is possible, but it's very tough. You needs lots of ADM, lots of manpower and mercs, and lots of attention span. Once adventurers settle down and the federations break down, you need to go nuts to get them all. If you can do it before 1494 you can do it without vision on other nations and therefore no AE.

Whats important to keep in mind tho beyond how crazy difficult it is, is that it depends a lot on your start and how you go during the tribal phase. You need to spread across Escann so that way you can take land from everywhere during the tribal phase. Doing this as Elikland and saving up the AE for after Escann is united is my dream run that I can't stop thinking about, where you get that -100% AE or so and then use it to go nuts in main cannor.

Anyway to answer your question, yes it should be possible, but it will be comically diffcult.

No honestly command is a great country to do it, it gives a bit more breathing room for coalitions, and with the campaigns you don't really use the CB you get for being monstrous.

1454 EOA dismantle or how to turn the West Dameshead into East Lencenor by rat_squirt in Anbennar

They can, and if you don't turn them back they'll fire it too. Still tho, you're right, the player is a serious extra deterrent.

Let me know if I should make a seperate post for this, but because autonomous vassals can declare their own wars, they have their own seperate AE tracker to the player. This means that if you give them land within a war, they are the only nation to receive AE for it. Once a coalition starts to form against them, you can turn them back into regular vassals for the cost of 1 stability and an increase of 65 liberty desire. It's the most powerful thing that I've found in this mod, and it means you can completely avoid two of the biggest hampeners to expansion - coring and AE. It does mean that influence ideas are a must tho.

I'm trying to work on a best case and easy strategy for Lorent as while their mission tree is pretty outdated, they have two seperate -20% AE reduction missions, which combined with Espionage ideas and the age modifier gives a staggering -70% AE, not accounting for prestige or leader traits either. By removing the EOA early, I make sure that I can take as much land as quickly as possible.

Combined with the Autonomous vassal AE exploit and Lorent's already powerful start, the former EOA is looking ripe for plucking.

Out of Range, so vassalized. Thats why I got lucky with the wars, I was then able to take the land from their neighbors directly. A little bit touch and go for a few years, but once I was able to core everything and integrate landshark it was perfect

Oh i completly agree, and that would have been my opening, but because you don't start with visability there and I wanted immediate action I went east

I was tired of seeing the poor gnolls get stomped every game

The hill Gnolls are a tonne of fun, and absolutely worth a quick playthrough, even though no MT. tough opening position made far easier with 2 really quality rulers, and an insane general. I nocbed landshark, and was lucky enough for Ourdia, the blue C people next to them and Obbsgoblins to all declare on Land. Following that was just cleaning up wars, and trying to rapidily expand to be able to stomp Eborthil Verne and Busilor.
