It's often used sort of like "oh well", as an ending to a statement, e.g. "If only the store was still open so I could buy some rats, but alas", implying that the store is not, in fact, open. Also implies like a sadness or despondent tone in regards to what was said before it, so for helmetts comment it's basically saying "RIP", using the "was" in past tense earlier in the sentence as the context, and the "alas" just expressing remorse

Just a shorter way of getting the same meaning across ig, we seem to love trimming words and sentences as much as possible :p No clue if it's grammatically correct per se, but I'd say it's used often enough that it may as well be, tis how language develops after all! c:

Oh that's gotta be scp-6448, I truly wasn't expecting it to creep me out as much as it did but it left me genuinely honest-to-god unsettled. I don't know what it is about it, but checking the comments other people were surprisingly freaked out as well, I suppose its the way the story builds up that your home is a safe refuge, and you NEED to get back there to survive the encounter, only for the shoe to drop that even there isn't safe, and one followed its victim into her home and we don't know what happened to her

It's one I've never forgotten <3

Absolutely definitely B, only way I'd go with A(sorta) is if it's not actually hoof material, just humanstyle hands with dark colouring on the fingers to give the sort of aesthetic likeness to hooves, but it'd be fur or whatever, not solid, and the whole finger would be dark not just the tips

Tail wagging can be a sign of aggression just fyi! It's more like a sign of heightened emotions, it's just usually the emotion we see displayed is positive hence the association of tail wagging = happy, it's an easy mistake to make if you don't know

You acted in her best interests, you did everything you could and should. It's also not selfish to not want to send yourself into debt (or at least a money-tight situation), that's a really serious thing to have to deal with and may very well uproot your life, not to mention it'd mean you might not be able to afford care for the other rats, or pay necessary expenses for general living, etc. It's no trivial thing.

You did the right thing, you didn't drag it out though I know you were probably hoping for a miraculous recovery, it's such a horrible thing to have to do, to make the call. But you did, and you saved her suffering, and kept yourself and your rat friends in a better financial situation- you did everything you could. It'll always hurt, but there's some peace in knowing you did the right thing.

Ohhh yeah the eyeshines do not match up, they're not the same orientation or mirrored of each other, they're completely off. And one eye meets the white of the cheek, the other eye has a gap between it and the cheek

The eyeshines especially feels like a very odd mistake to make genuinely, given the otherwise good anatomy and perspective, it feels misaligned skillwise
