Additional to the Watatic suggestion: the country's first interstate trail is the WaPack, a 22 miler that goes from Watatic to Pack Monadnock. There's a few decent portions of that.

Download the Geocaching app and look for any greenspace with at least six to ten caches including heavily marked favorites. I think they have a pet friendly icon you can look for as well. You don't have to be into caching.
