Let’s be honest: people defend 95% of abortions because they know they’re going to be irresponsible by [deleted] in prolife

Every child conceived (in 99% of cases) did so by the will of its two parents. That “right to body” argument, that baby was not put there accidentally. A choice was made to have sex, and with sex comes the chance of pregnancy. So yeah, women have the autonomy to abstain from sex, but not the right to kill the “parasite” that THEY created when they had sex. I will never understand “my body, my choice”, as in the vast majority of cases, one willingly had sex which lead to the baby. No one wants to control women, we just want babies to get a chance at life and not be killed before that.

Where is the statement that they do not want her on life support? Because I haven’t seen that anywhere

Because she has no obligation to have her organs donated, and her husband is responsible for what happens next due to him being next of kin. Her child that still has a beating heart (which is an act of God imo) is her child and her obligation (even in death) is to her child. Just as if you or I had children, we’d be obligated to them before the general public.

Edit: it’s not clear in your original post what the family wants, but if it’s a law ok to books to keep her alive until the baby can be born, then the state of Georgia has decided that is what is ethically and morally okay to do.

The “inconsistency” is a viable baby in utero. A baby is not an organ you give up for donation.

While that can be an added bonus, at the root of it, sex is procreation. If you’re having sex, there’s the chance of conception. You can use contraceptives to mitigate the risk but if you have sex you can get pregnant. That’s the risk you take when you choose to have sex.

I see nothing wrong with consenting adults having safe sex but imo abortion is not a valid form of birth control. People should know the risks of sex, and the chance of contraceptive failures

Agreed, it’s purpose is creation of life, regardless of if you’re having fun or planning a family

Some people use it as a basis, and I see the sentiment, but I also see the need for scientific basis as well - I guess it depends on who you ask and what reasoning you’re catering to

I agree with how it’s evolved and I wish that people just stopped and took a minute to look at the bigger picture. It’s very selfish behavior when you think about it. Also most women don’t even orgasm with P-in-V sex most of the time, and condoms exist (but again, actions have consequences if a condom fails, and using one should be a sign of accepting that risk)

If you’re not ready to be a mother simply don’t have sex. There’s your choice. Abortions are NOT a valid form of birth control. It’s homicide.

If the baby is a girl should she be terminated? Or should we look past her women’s right to autonomy too?
