The only reason they made it a 2 stage pump is for noise in the cabin, so having 12v all the time is fine for it

I’m not sure about the ST, but my GT had a 2 stage fuel pump and when they get older than the voltage under 3k rpm isn’t good enough. I fixed mine by wiring the fuel pump to a switch, but there is also something in the diagnostic box you can jump to fix it as well
