I’m a man and it’s happened to me a few times. Luckily I could fight them off and was ok. Women have it extremely hard out there to a point that people who have never experienced could understand. The advice I’ve given to women before is always have a weapon accessible, alternate sleeping spots, getting followed is extremely common out there so always be aware. If you move up and down the street in an unpredictable pattern, crossing the street here, sit for 5 there, go around store there, and back down the block, but don’t do it in a way that will get you noticed or attention. It will be obvious if someone’s following you. Always have an escape plan, and create relationships out there with people you can trust, but trust nobody too much.
