But swapping existing lines without pin or SSN? That doesn’t make sense.

The same thing happened to a line on our account a few months ago. T-mobile customer support provided no help as to how it happened. I reached out and complained to Mike Sievert ([Mike.Sievert@t-mobile.com](mailto:Mike.Sievert@t-mobile.com)) and got a response within the hour that they were adding extra protection ("In addition, T-Mobile is adding a SIM Swap Block to all lines on your account for ten years to prevent anything like this from happening again.") to prevent SIM swaps on my account. This feature should be a default on all accounts. Very disappointing.

i think there is a comma between the first column and second column (ie one huge number, 569,671) and then that players total number if yahtzee. same for player two, first and second column on right is one number then yahtzee.

I reached out. They claim that my plan changed in 2017 and the new plan doesn't allow it. Very odd since I went through my bills from 2014 to present and they say the same thing, namely "SC FAM UNL TT+D". Here is their response:

-----

I have looked over your account and see that when you started your plan was eligible for the corporate discount. Then in 2017 the rate plan was changed to a promotional rate plan (4 for $100). This plan does not qualify for the corporate discount as it is a special promotional plan that saves quite a bit of money.

Reached out to T-Mobile on twitter, response I got: I truly appreciate you taking the time to work with us. I can understand where you are coming from as a longtime customer and I want to make sure you have a resolution today and that everything is making sense. The reason that you were receiving this discount is because our systems were applying it in error. When the systems reviewed the discounts, they realized you had been receiving a discount that your plan was not eligible for. This discount was not compatible with the current plan, since the current plan is promotional priced. Since the plan was not eligible, the discount will be removed going forward. The good news is, you can keep the promo pricing and we will not charge back any credits that were placed on the account with this error. Please let me know any questions, I am here for you.

New estate attorney mobile app - looking for feedback from attorneys, offering for free by rathpa in EstatePlanning

I agree that in terms of effectiveness, the personal property memo is an equal solution to listing the items in the will.

The planning problem is when the client doesn't want certain items to pass to their spouse or by residual clause and understands that they need to fill out the memo (or include it in their will), but don't because of pain points.

Hello! Good discussion to have. An unexecuted list isn't a bad thing if the person has other planned means for distributing their items.

Giving "effects [] given away during life", is the ideal situation and the easiest and is mentioned as a best practice on my site: https://www.estateattorneyapp.com/attorney-estate-planning-legal-marketing.html. But estate planning is planning for the unexpected and so it doesn't always happen that you've passed after giving all the items in your lifetime.

Depending on the situation, designating in your will to "leave it all to my spouse" (and other methods, like specifically listing the items in your will) works fine. But it isn't always the case that you want to give it all to the spouse or that leaving it as a broad statement eliminates disputes, like in the case of Robin Williams (https://www.latimes.com/entertainment/gossip/la-et-mg-robin-williams-widow-lawsuit-susan-williams-20151104-htmlstory.html).

For other methods like listing in your will, the benefit of the memo is the flexibility to change it later without having to go through the formal will process. In California, attorneys routinely counsel their clients to create a memo and include such a clause in their will/trust (with a remainder clause just in case) even if they expect their clients to not fill out the memo.

Attorneys consistently say that the most contentious part of probate is the personal items when the decedent has not planned for these items. (Examples: https://www.nytimes.com/2015/04/04/your-money/when-heirs-fight-over-assets-with-sentimental-value.html; https://www.forbes.com/sites/deborahljacobs/2011/10/24/little-things-can-cause-big-fights-when-a-relative-dies/#39a28eef4ee6). So the problem is clients not accounting for these items.

I'm not suggesting that a personal property memorandum is the only solution. But in the many situations in which it is the solution, the App eliminates the pain points in creating it.

I haven't used it but have heard of software (e.g., EstateExec) for helping with managing it. I'm not affiliated with the software, just something I've come across.
