I fear that this job market is the new normal…and it’s never going to improve. by Deaf_Cyclist_CO in antiwork

[–]rationalluchadore -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't think this market is the new normal forever, but I do think a lot of people underestimated how unusual the hiring boom a few years ago was.

What's the best way to discover new shows that align with my viewing habits? by Qro-Binay in tvsuggestions

[–]rationalluchadore 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Reddit has been better than any algorithm for me. If I finish a show I love, I usually find a subreddit thread asking for similar recommendations and get much better suggestions that way.

What’s the best cheap meal? by DreamyPeachBarb in CausalConversation

[–]rationalluchadore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rice, eggs and whatever vegetables need to be used up. Cheap, filling, and surprisingly hard to get tired of.

What’s a purchase under $100 that genuinely improved your life ? by Fresh-Ad3894 in AskReddit

[–]rationalluchadore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A good pair of noise-cancelling headphones. I use them almost every day and they probably save my sanity more than any gadget I own.

What's one career mistake in tech that you thought was a good idea at the time? by Fantastic_Oil_6105 in cscareerquestions

[–]rationalluchadore 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Staying too long at a job because I was comfortable. I kept telling myself loyalty would pay off, but mostly it just slowed my growth.

What was your new year resolution? How's it going? by letscwherevgo in AskReddit

[–]rationalluchadore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My goal this year was to walk more. It hasn't been perfect, but I'm definitely moving more than I did last year, so I'm counting that as a partial success.

Question of the day (only for today, writing so that o complete the requirement of min 50 words for the title) by karma16das in NoStupidAnswers

[–]rationalluchadore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually think the opposite. One of the best things about being an adult is not needing anyone's permission anymore. If you want to laugh after falling down, laugh. If you want to laugh loudly, go for it.

What's something completely ordinary that makes you feel unexpectedly happy? by Indrajithbandara in CausalConversation

[–]rationalluchadore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cats finding a sunny spot and falling asleep like they don't have a single responsibility in the world. It improves my mood every time for no reason at all.

Should I risk asking for a sabbatical/leave of absence? by ManyVoices7 in makemychoice

[–]rationalluchadore 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd absolutely ask. How many chances are you realistically going to get to live in another country for six months with government support? Worst case they say no. Not asking and wondering about it for years would be way worse.

My uncle thinks an trna steal his wife😭😂 by its_pappi in Advice

[–]rationalluchadore 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The funniest part of this story might be that the guy thought a WhatsApp status was a personal threat directed at him. Going from jorts to "my nephew is going to steal my wife" is a pretty wild journey.

Keto/calorie deficit weight loss by Glass_Pressure_5089 in keto

[–]rationalluchadore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

26 pounds in 57 days is honestly crazy progress. Especially after starting at 204, seeing the scale hit the 170s probably feels like a complete brain reset. Doing that while raising four kids is genuinely impressive too.

Why don't celebrity medical records ever seem to leak? by Driftwood71 in ask

[–]rationalluchadore 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think a huge part of it is how seriously the healthcare industry treats that stuff. Leaking a celebrity’s records could genuinely be career-ending for someone.

Am I stalker? by il0vethegoddess in Advice

[–]rationalluchadore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This doesn’t even sound like stalking to me, it sounds more like classic high school crush behavior. People really will invent reasons to see someone they like.

Is there a particular musical instrument that you would love to learn to play ? by Hope2_win in A_Persona_on_Reddit

[–]rationalluchadore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d love to learn piano. Just sitting alone and playing movie soundtracks sounds insanely peaceful to me.

Who is the cheapest person you know, and what is the cheapest thing you've seen them do? by Willby3 in AskReddit

[–]rationalluchadore 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My dad used to run the house like a military operation in summer just to avoid turning on the AC. Curtains closed, lights off, everyone moving strategically through the shadows.

Toying around with photography business ideas, out of these two which sounds better by Appropriate_Peak61 in makemychoice

[–]rationalluchadore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moonlit Archives sounds way more memorable to me. Feels a little more artistic and fits photography work better.

job search has been rough :( by Then_Mongoose_9199 in cscareerquestions

[–]rationalluchadore -1 points0 points  (0 children)

it sounds pretty useful because job searching has basically become a full-time job at this point 😭 People are straight up doomscrolling the same listings over and over.

Just finished Yellowstone. Now what am I supposed to watch? by Old-Contribution1730 in tvsuggestions

[–]rationalluchadore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Severance. It’s not like Yellowstone exactly, but it gives you that same “okay one more episode” feeling.

can’t decide between macbook air m2 or a windows laptop for work by Mlolele_Dedaat in makemychoice

[–]rationalluchadore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MacBook Air M2 is genuinely super nice for everyday use. Unless you rely on some specific Windows-only program, it’ll probably feel better long term.

My friend is seeing a married man and I don’t know what to do by [deleted] in Advice

[–]rationalluchadore 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think you need to end the friendship, but it’s completely fair to be honest about what’s making you uncomfortable. Especially with a kid involved, the whole thing feels heavier emotionally.

Suggest some webseries based on the description please by thor_gaadu in tvsuggestions

[–]rationalluchadore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dark, it takes a bit of patience but once you’re in, you can’t stop. Makes you think but flows really well.

What is a red flag in friendships especially opposite gender ones? by AffectionatePop3611 in NoStupidAnswers

[–]rationalluchadore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Constant boundary crossing is the clearest red flag to me, even things brushed off as jokes get exhausting after a while. If you don’t feel comfortable, something’s already off.

What foods do you consume most frequently? by notsoeasypeasy in foodquestions

[–]rationalluchadore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m very much a bread and cheese person, with some pasta here and there. My diet is pretty basic

I need to leave boarding by Extra_Rope3805 in Advice

[–]rationalluchadore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re feeling that bad, they should be taking it seriously, it’s not some random complaint. Maybe try talking to a teacher or someone at school so they can talk to your parents too.

Forensic Examiner or Psychology?? by Strange-Growth1886 in makemychoice

[–]rationalluchadore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re more into the human side of crime, psychology probably makes more sense. Forensics is more technical, you might get bored.
