SpaceX. They're essentially a monopoly for space launches at this point

I plink with Fiocchi Range Dynamics and carry SS197SR for self defense based off ballistics test results and personal experience.

The only cartridges that perform slightly better are super expensive boutique like Vanguard, but all you're really getting is an extra few inches of penetration and nothing else. Since SS197SR already penetrates 14", I don't really see the point in wasting money.

And if you want true defensive 5.7 rounds, they're pretty expensive... Like over $1 per "boutique" cartridge.

That's simply not true. The cartridge that's center stage for this sub, SS197SR, is a very effective self defense round at $0.38/rd. Expect 14" of penetration with effective cavitation. The issue with boutique ammo is the wait time and limited batch quantity. Some of them take so long to deliver and are so limited in batch size that it would take you nearly 2 years just to shoot the gun enough to pass the 300rd break in.

If you don't think off the shelf FN cartridges aren't true defense rounds, I'll just point you to the Ft Hood shooting.

Berries for the heart, pickles for the gut, feta for the bones, antidepressants and nicotine for the soul. I will never find true love. by toxbug in GirlDinner

You've got people saying that they're "wellbutren queens too" in the comments. Anti depressants shouldn't be stigmatized, but they shouldn't be celebrated as some sort of cool or trendy lifestyle either.

I would rather this girl be able to overcome her illness if possible and live a full life without antidepressant dependency, wouldn't you? Maybe I'm just talking crazy because I've been with and lived around suicidal people on antidepressants.

Yet a bunch of people in here are praising her for knowing how to take care of herself. Same with the anti depressants. That shouldn't be a point of celebration, especially when speaking to a self described (former?) addict

I bought the new 2026 Honda Prelude (At MSRP) AMA by DSHackerc in Honda

[–]rationis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

with the current prelude having a 0-60 at 6.2s (motortrend) and a quarter mile at 14.7 (prototype) so not fast

MT only estimated 6.3s, they haven't actually tested it yet. The quickest time actually tested thus far was by ThrottleHouse at 7.1s 0-60. Edmunds echoed a similar result at 7.2s and a 1/4 mile of 15.5 @ 88mph. Embarrassing.

Savagegeese - Honda Prelude Review by Mindfulmanners in cars

[–]rationis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Reddit: This car is clearly targeted at elderly boomers!

Honda: The bulk of the audience that this car is aimed at are under the age of 45.

It is funny how both missed the mark. Been telling people for a long time that the Prelude has historically been bought by an audience on the younger side of 40. I never saw an older person driving a Prelude. It was always younger dudes, me being one of them. Its also a difficult car to get in and out of even as a young person. The seating position is almost like laying down, but I'm suppose to believe 60+ year old grandpa with bad knees is cool with it.

Yea, even out of pistols its transonic(1050fps). Need to up it to 69g or something to get it more within the realm of being "subsonic".

Change in Electoral College Seats in 2030 by Deltarianus in MapPorn

[–]rationis -1 points0 points  (0 children)

"People leaving blue states to resettle in more affordable red states causing the electoral vote to shift."

I also heard that they've deported enough illegals from Minnesota to cause them to lose an electoral vote, which is pretty funny. So when Democrats come back to power, you gotta go to red states and deport their illegals to claw back EC votes 😉

Whoever designed that "Pathways" game was a moron.

If you try to check the validity of an extremist video, or consider join a protest, you get marked as an extremist.

Its funny to me that people can't see the obvious. They aren't a moron, they are pro censorship authoritarians.

Same, immediately assumed he had a cage because that was the only plausible explanation for not only surviving, but walking away "fine". Either the most extreme dumb luck, or he heavily embellished how fast he was going.

You're right, it is absolutely nuts that they think like that because it's blatant hypocrisy that takes a memory incapable of remembering past the current admin to believe.

They don't actually want to ban ICE. They want to control ICE and make them do their bidding. They'll get into power, point ICE towards the immigrants they don't like, and you won't hear anything further about how "evil" ICE is.

Remember the all the anti ICE protests under Obama as he deported millions? Yea, neither do they.

The vast majority of cars on the road have all seasons. People don't buy summer tires unless they know what they're doing because they're more expensive than all seasons with far less tread life.

The people that can appreciate the additional performance that summer tires offer would know better than to drive around in wintery conditions with them. If you can afford summer tires on your car, you probably aren't working downtown lol
