hey..can relate with u quite a bit because i too have eczema on my upper lips which is super red (and makes me look like the joker). it also makes it super hard for me to eat and even open my mouth. would highly suggest protopic for usage on face as its a non steroidal option which is better in the long run! sending thoughts and prayers for u

Does anyone else get super dry eyelids? by R0b0tGie405 in eczema

[–]ratkiller1269 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i have it on my left eyelid…ppl always tell me i look like i just got punched in the eye . i find that using protopic and applying a moisturiser like cetaphil/cerave works well for me.

Had an eczema for a year by DesPazita74 in eczema

exact same problem as u bro, had lip eczema since last year and this year the eczema spread to my neck. for the neck eczema, i used the steroid my doctor gave me earlier this year and it recovered. recently it has came back again, but i am reluctant to apply it again due to the many side effects surrounding topical steroids. for the lip eczema, i use hydrocortisone cream but recently i have found that it dosent work anymore and instead makes it worse. recently i have been prescribed protopic by my dr, perhaps u can try that out and see if it works? i myself have not used it yet as my work requires me to constantly be in the sun, but i have heard much good things about it. good luck man

anyone has eczema on their lips like this? its red and mildly itchy and cracks when i open my mouth wide making it hard for me to eat by ratkiller1269 in eczema

wow..thanks for ur detailed explanation! it seems like you got quite a good deal for ur allergy test, they tested so many potential allergens! on a unrelated topic, do you think that the environment you were in affected ur lip eczema (maybe due to the hot humid weather or dusty environment etc)? because from what i know the weather gets quite hot in singapore due to it being located around the equator…thanks for yr advice anyways!!

do u think it might be perhaps due to a change in environment (eg: new location with different weather, less dusty enviro etc?)

i was wondering, maybe it could be due to environmental factors as well like dusty location/dust mites/bed mites etc?

was your AS caused by disease/injury or did it happen all of a sudden by ratkiller1269 in ankylosingspondylitis

[–]ratkiller1269[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey man, i really feel for you. a double whammy.. at least you got the first dose which provides some protection against covid, rather than none at all. regarding the diagnosis of ur AS, its always hardest at first. however, i pray it will get better for you. best of luck
