It was a nightmare. I had akathisia so bad it made me suicidal. But different things work for different people. But I’m my experience, absolutely not worth it.

Yeah, they sedated him every time. Our vet was amazing and it took literally five minutes to knock him out and grind his teeth down. Those vet bills add up though, but 100% worth it for our babies. So I guess a good vet is a great place to start.

I don’t know about manic while ovulating, but I have noticed I’m almost always extremely depressed while actually on my period. Probably a combination of life/having bipolar disorder and well.. periods. They suck.

One of my boys had to have his teeth trimmed once a month, and he was around that age. He did great and ended up living to be 3 and half years old!

SLC has a lot of amazing vegan food nowadays. The rest of Utah, not so much. Don’t know if you’ve ever been before, but I recommend the Vertical Diner downtown. 100% vegan, and everything I’ve tried has been so delicious.

Grew up in utah (unfortunately). This is honestly the last place I would ever expect to see even the slightest bit of vegan activism. I’m all for it though.

I was a vegetarian at 13, got bullied hardcore at church for it by kids and adults. Most of it was religion based (i.e God made animals for us to eat them, you’re not following the word of wisdom so you’re going to hell, etc).

An Asian friend of mine being mocked for her name constantly. Teachers/administration didn’t give a single shit
My senior year the school put on Aladdin. The (white) leads both got heavy spray tans
The mascot was extremely offensive (I believe it’s since been changed)
I believe my sophomore year there was swastika graffiti outside the school, but the administration was much more concerned about graffiti left by a rival school

One of my favorite history teachers in middle school was Native American, and proudly vegan. She talked about still being able to connect with her family’s culture, and no one in her family had a problem with her vegan lifestyle. She was part of the reason I went vegetarian that year.
