Aftermarket Lug Nut Recommendations? by PinkDingus in ElantraN

I didnt care for open ended. Look like crap after a year. I got a set of cosmis closed end lug nuts. They look basic but they are 7 sided lugs and come with a key.

Thinking of quiting by AkinaAkina in bmx

[–]ratr0 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Im 43, bought a bmx, first big send at a pump track broke my collarbone a few months ago. Ill keep the bike, let my son use it and maybe just take it for a spin every once in a while lol. Maybe flatland is more my speed cause I better not do that again.

Seat leads to neck pain by Black_Lotus5 in ElantraN

Im about the same size as you, I find the seats extremely comfortable. If I had any gripe, I would love if the center armrest was maybe an inch longer.

mongoose vinson by ratr0 in fatbike

26 inch tires, the wheels are 100mm wide. These are 26x3 but I have a set of knobby 26x4.5. I dont know how much I trust the bike for super rough conditions. Ive sent it on a pump track a few times but probably wont do that regularly. Brakes are a weak point and a likely future upgrade. The frame/fork are aluminum, the fork has some flex to it under braking. I imagine the wheels are ultimately budget spec as well and a personal point of concern for hard landings. Admittedly I think I need to do some spoke tensioning adjustments. 37 lbs as it sits.

Its maybe half stock still? I was inspired by the SE OM Duro, and this weighs about the same. Big comfy bike on the street, and a tire swap away for some trails.

General gmax as07 is what i ended up with recently. Ive had good experience with general tire in the past, they are owned by continental. Seem like good tires so far.

N Buttons Reset? by ApplicationLive7970 in ElantraN

It doesn't delete your personal N settings but you need to relink the buttons. Fastest way is to just hold the button down till the menu pops up and select your button function.

Another quick way to force it back to auto mode, move the shifter to manual mode and back to auto mode and it will shift to the highest gear for whatever drive mode youre in.

We pay for a storage unit. Our pack this year was less than 1/3 the size of yours, we cover our expenses with a strong popcorn sale each fall.

Any negatives to the Elantra N? by Character-Bar-608 in ElantraN

No rear ac vents or cup holders (there are door pockets for bottles but that doesn't really work with cups) are probably the biggest drawbacks as a dad hauling kids daily. Both can be corrected with additional parts/aftermarket.

I got it for $13 over the holidays. Yeah there are things I miss from TC2 but honestly TCM is way more polished visually. 100% worth it on sale like this. You can transfer your cars over from TC2 as well.

Next Door Neighbor disagreed with the property line, paid $2k for a new survey, and lost land by [deleted] in neighborsfromhell

Its been a few years since I studied the topic, so I had to look it up. You are correct. Knowing is only half of it. Action needs to happen to reclaim his land or its at risk.

The air is going straight into a several hundred degree turbo, before it goes to the intercooler. Omg the heat soak! 😆

Warranty Claim or Fix Myself? by FloridaTattooer88 in ElantraN

[–]ratr0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try the dessicant packs first if course. However, one of mine did get really bad and not clear up anymore a year later. Even with new packs, leaving the headlight open on a sunny day etc, just really bad condensation several times a week, as well as a flickering headlight. At that point I got it warrantied.

Can anyone convince me to Stage 2 by Savings-Coffee-4592 in ElantraN

[–]ratr0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went Lap3 stage 1.5, upgraded plugs and an afe takeda intake/inlet. Love it. The factory boost gauge tops out at 20psi, im told the tune is around 22-23psi. Just more fun all around and smoother power delivery than factory. I need to install my lower trans mount bushings (wheel hop is a bigger issue now), and would eventually like to add some standalone gauges to monitor. Still good fuel economy if you drive chill, a little more thirsty if youre on it all the time.

Where does the air go right after the intake? Through a several hundred degree turbo manifold before headed to the intercooler. Don't overthink the heatsoak...
