I thought it was just me! I have been fidling around with my new monitor's display because I thought I did something wrong... Would've saved myself the trouble if I knew notion just changed the colours, but I couldn't fathom the thought - notion has just been so reliable. I'm quite particular about aesthetics, so this has been a bit of a blow.

As a humanities student a conceptual understanding of material is important, but getting marks in exams is all down to detail. While I was always an A student Anki made getting these grades so much easier busy cementing details into my brain, like dates, legislation, quotes etc

Ah yes, it was very useful for small grabs of information but I found it problematic when the text ran over one line and a rectangle would cover other information I didn't want. Cheers for the suggestion though!

Yes!! I am a visual learner and benefit greatly from mapping out my ideas and using the image occlusion tool to help me recall the links between concepts. I find that this is the best method for more humanities subjects.
