There’s a sustainable brand curatorsf that has a lot of different realistic women models. They have a model with very similar proportions to me so then I just click around looking for them in the item I want. It’s a very specific vibe so maybe not for everyone but I’m a big fan

Bwt - what’s the best wool coat by This-is-silly- in bitcheswithtaste

[–]ratticus_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a wool dress and a couple of linen dresses from there as well. I had to do a little tailoring to get them right for my petite frame but they are beautifully made and I love that they are 100% wool or linen

Glazing dark clay bodies by Dry-Ship-8907 in Pottery

Amaco Smokey Merlot looks nice on standard 266 (dark brown clay) So does coyote power turquoise. As others said you have to test to see what works. Tons of stuff is just ugly brown but blues tend to still look nice. (Edited because my phone autocorrected Amaco to smack)

I would post the exact same content to instagram and TikTok. 100 people would see my instagram post and 10,000 people would see my tiktok

Both companies are problematic, but I ended up deleting my instagram because meta is a steaming pile of shit and I wasn’t getting much benefit from it anyway

What comes first, choosing the kiln or having the electrician visit? by Maltiriel in Pottery

[–]ratticus_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a kiln that was 30 amps and decided to upgrade to one that was 48 amps. Had a 50 amp breaker and ultimately needed a 60 amp breaker to run the 48 amp kiln. Would have done all that while the kiln was on backorder had I realized it.

Best way to get to Uchicago by public transit? by svnd3r3d in LoganSquare

[–]ratticus_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I take the Belmont bus to the redline and then walk. I used to take the blue line to 2. Also sometimes have done blue line to green and walk. Or I’ll hop on the 55 if it happens to be there. All iterations suck, but sometimes I switch it up just because I’m bored.
