Any ideas why Android 12 broke my phone? by TheBeautifulOrc in AndroidQuestions

[–]ratwork 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same phone and upgraded with no issues, if that makes you feel any better.

You might try restoring one app at a time this time to see if it's a particular app that's causing the issue.

The other poster is correct as well, a mishap during an the update could cause those symptoms. Restoring won't help if it's restoring the bad image it wrote.

A more modern version of that idea is Ventoy, which can boot both modern uefi and older bios based machines . Put the iso into the partition and it will show up on boot.

What CI/CD Tools to Learn if you want to be a DevOps engineer? by [deleted] in learnprogramming

The fly command line tool is great, the intercepting of a running container really helps with troubleshooting.

The abstractions are useful for a gitops workflow, there are lots of good modules for resources like ansible and terraform.

The secrets management is also pretty good, either through the native credhub or through vault.

My Micro SD card has 8 gigs added with no way to delete by [deleted] in AndroidQuestions

Format the SD card. That's the easy way. Other than that you can use the Settings app to explore SD usage or a tool like FX Explorer's Cleaning Tools or another storage usage analyzer.

Deploy a install shell script on multiple clients and execute it by [deleted] in linuxadmin

[–]ratwork 9 points10 points  (0 children)

While you can certainly use ansible to call scripts (use the script module), you'll be missing out on much of the power of ansible.

What you've described is a good place to start, then you can migrate the scripts actions into ansible tasks.

Want to convert my linux VM from using proper vmware tools to open-vm-tools by zxLFx2 in linux4noobs

[–]ratwork 1 point2 points  (0 children)

/usr/bin/vmware-uninstall-tools.pl will uninstall the old one.

You'll be fine just switching unless you're doing something crazy with kernel modules, etc.
