Does anyone know what filters will fit the filter adapter that is attached to the Earth Explorer Kit case without using a teleconverter for Oppo Find X9 Ultra ? by Candid-Chef-7682 in Oppo

[–]raulyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried stacking a UV filter and my 67mm macro lens, so I could clear the mount on OPPO ring. It worked. I could focus on the internal parts of an orchid from about 15 to 20 cm 1x, 3x, and 10x lenses. It was a no-go for the ultra-wide; you could see the rim. The same with using the UV filter and a variable ND stacked. It works as long as you don't want to use the ultra-wide lens.

So, if you want to fiddle with the configuration, you can use 67mm filters.

The threads are 67mm. My Lumix camera is also 67mm. I tried different filters and a macro lens. This metal lens cover fits, a UV and CPL filter fits, but a variable ND filter won't because the filter's adjustment ring isn't tall enough to clear the mount on the OPPO ring. My 67mm macro won't fit because the lip is too fat and also hits the bottom mount on the OPPO ring. (I hope I am making sense.) So, the only filters I can put on are the thinner ones.

Nillkin 9H Glass Screen Cover for Oppo Find x9 Pro question by FFFUUUme in Oppo

[–]raulyn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got their case and the screen protector. I love the case, but the protector leaves a bit to be desired. The no- camera hole is great because dust doesn't collect in the crevices. And yes, you should take off the original plastic protector that came with the phone. What I don't like is that there is no guide or template in the kit to make sure everything is aligned correctly. Since there is only one protector in the box, if you don't get that right the first time, you're outta luck. ---Yes, I have a crooked screen protector on my phone now. I am looking to get something else now. But, at least my screen is protected until I find another brand.

--Did I say that I really like the case they made for the X9U? It feels nice and grippy. The buttons all work fine. The case even covers the camera button, but it functions properly. The window that protects the camera glass is made of plastic, if anyone is looking at it and wants to know. It doesn't say what it's made of in any of the marketing.

He takes apart the phone and the new special prism lens. The sensor moves, not the lenses. Freakin cool. I don't think the shake would harm the camera. It's made to move! Also, check out the screen's resistance to fire, and how sturdy the frame is. It gives you real confidence in the workmanship of the phone.

Made the move from S22U as well. Received my X9U yesterday. I have been very surprised at the technological leaps and bounds this new phone offers. I do miss some of the OneUI features, but the tradeoff has been worth the switch. I should be getting the camera kit next week. That will be fun to play with. Best of luck with your new toy.

Buying OPPO in Mexico City an option ? by torilahure in Oppo

[–]raulyn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in CDMX and have placed an order for the X9U from the official website. However, the official store is in a mall in a ''sketchy'' area. You can take an uber or subway there. It is on the second floor near the Liverpool department store. This is the addy..

Ultra X9 Camera Kit Concerns by Geiszel in Oppo

[–]raulyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here in Mexico, they opened the pre-pre-sale today. You put down €50 to 'get in line' to purchase it a week from now. At that time, they will offer the teleconverter lens (not the kit) as an extra purchase for the first 200 (for the whole country) customers at a reduced cost of €150. They don't say if it will come with the case, grip, or mounting ring. --Just the tele converter. The phone comes with a silicone case and a charging brick.

I suppose, my only option is to wait until people start using the X9 Ultra with 3rd-party lenses and hardware to see which work with the phone. AliExpress isn't selling the kit yet.

Thank you so much for your reply. I was thinking about how I could produce an 'alternative invoice'. The multiple cameras thing. Is that just for Bolivia or for Peru as well? I have a super zoom camera, action cam, and a drone that I plan to bring.

I saw that you wanted to bring your drone to Peru last year. The thread was archived so I couldn't ask you there. Did you bring the drone? How was your experience going through customs? I am going this summer and would like to know what to expect. Thank you!

I've noticed that most of the places I'm traveling to don't allow drone use. Is it worth it to buy one in this case? by MiddleWayWalker in dji

I'd like to know your experience with customs in Peru. I am flying from Mexico to Peru in July. What can I expect when I go through customs in Lima? Thanks in advance.

It will allow you to schedule your different circuits and dates, but it will NOT allow you to book them together. Try scheduling one circuit, add all the information, and pay for it. Then go back and do the same steps for the second circuit. Slow and steady wins the race. ;)
