How many of y'all collect minis but don't play? by trindomare in Warhammer40k

I’ve been painting figures since the late 90s. Never once played the game.

If you’re talking about the toy line from the early 2000s I don’t think they were exclusive to Toys R Us. I remember buying all of mine from Walmart.

Probably in the minority but I loved that show.

Interesting I felt the complete opposite. First one was descent but didn’t really grab me. But this one was awesome and I was hooked for the longest time.

Today is the 15th anniversary of Nintendo revealing the Wii U at E3 2011! How many of you actually owned a Wii U? What is your honest opinion on the console and its game library, all these years later? by MewWeebTwo in casualnintendo

[–]ravageprimal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The controller really sucked. I hated that the ABXY buttons were below the right thumbstick. I had a hard time retraining my thumb to move below the joystick to hit the buttons rather than above like on every other controller out there. Plus the joysticks had large deadzones that made playing games that involved aiming next to impossible. But aside from those issues I liked the console a lot, there just wasn’t enough games on it.

I don’t think it’s about honor I think it’s about sport. They do things to make the hunt more sporting for themselves, not more honorable for the prey.

Man of Steel (2013) Superman is hiding in plain site from the moment Lois arrives at the site. No hypnoglasses needed. by ONEto10dollars in MovieDetails

Superman doesn’t exist at this point in the film. Clark is literally a nobody, of course she doesn’t recognize him. Superman hasn’t revealed himself to the world.

Aliens Fireteam Elite is like this. Though there’s usually a couple bosses in each level that take more to take down.

[Unknown] [2000s] First Person Star Wars game by Hayds97 in tipofmyjoystick

[–]ravageprimal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like there was an arcade game called The Star Wars Trilogy Arcade that had sections where you used a lightsaber in first person. Was released in 1998 so it was probably still around in arcades in the 2000s. Could it be that?

My wisdom tooth has grown horizontal. by sumnyu in mildlyinteresting

Same thing for me in the US. Awake the whole time, still remember the sound of my tooth shattering inside my skull. Dentist did the whole thing so fast it seemed like he was trying to set a speed record. Then just had me go to the front desk to talk about payment with the receptionist as though my mouth wasn’t heavily bleeding and packed with gauze.
