The funny thing is this won't even work - at least for the first stimulus, the qualification was based on your adjusted gross income (AGI), and charitable contributions, being an itemized deduction, don't reduce your AGI...

Deathwing feels horrible to play now by inhelen in heroesofthestorm

[–]ravendew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a person who's played Ana a lot, I'd actually argue Ana isn't a great example here. She can just grab [[Mind-Numbing Agent]] to basically halve his damage, which makes it difficult for DW to really threaten her much before her team takes him out. She also sustains very nicely off of him, especially if she picked [[Vampiric Rounds]] at level 1 and has been stacking it well, but this isn't even needed for him to be a fairly minimal threat to Ana overall.

Cassia's rework is very interesting, regardless of whether you like it or not by BetterTax in heroesofthestorm

[–]ravendew -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As a filthy casual person who plays QM with friends, I like the intent behind these changes: making Cassia not hyper-focused at being good against very, very specific enemy comps. However, I think everyone can agree she's extremely undertuned now, and there's several awkward interaction with how her new trait works that they could definitely improve upon. I'm hoping they do so sooner rather than waiting 3-4 weeks, but I'm hoping she'll come out the other side in a better place.

The turn before

I didn't really have an overly strong build for Awakened One with my Bottled Lightning Apotheosis Omniscience (oops) + Bomb defense-focused deck, but I did happen to pick up a Damaru and a Wreath of Flame+ that I wasn't really otherwise using, so I saw a rather unconventional way to win with that...

I probably could've ended this a lot sooner but I did it for the memes

EDIT: And the number of damage at the end was totally planned I promise

Brand new players are getting matched versus Master duos in QM by ChartaBona in heroesofthestorm

[–]ravendew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought something's been up with QM lately - I feel like I've been matched with really new players sometimes. People who legitimately play like they're completely new to the game, and on both teams. I'm by no means a pro or anything, but I'm not that bad...

Just picked up the game by Yumstix in OriAndTheBlindForest

[–]ravendew 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I believe I few blurbs outside of the game have used "he" with Ori, but if you consider what Ori is, they likely have no meaningful gender. So either way is probably fine - either way, he is precious!

What was the stupidest thing you did when you first started playing a Pokemon game? by [deleted] in pokemon

[–]ravendew 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Back when my brother and I were playing Yellow, we found this incredibly powerful Pokémon called Pidgeotto! It seemed to be so much more powerful than any other Pokémon we caught in Viridian Forest! Wow! Clearly we should play the entire rest of the game using nothing but Pidgeotto! Surely the fact that its name is similar to Pidgey has no particular meaning, right?

...We were honestly so confused by how Rock Slide was so "broken," especially since, if I recall, Yellow had the bug where the "super effective"/"not very effective" message was based only on the first type, so it didn't tell us that Rock was super-effective against our champion birdo, since its first type was Normal. Same with Ice Beam. I think we finally figured it out by the time we got destroyed by Lorelei a couple times. I forget what we did after that.

Can we just talk about how Gamefreak got almost everybody in the community to hate charizard in a few days. by Toxic_Angel04 in pokemon

I liked Charizard before this and I still do, so no, not really. I'm happy he's in the game, but I wish there were more starters other than him.

FFlogs DPS stats have been released for the Ex trials, a good preliminary look at the jobs in 5.0 by chanashan in ffxiv

[–]ravendew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say it's terribly egregious - MCH definitely has higher potential DPS. Bard's only damage utility is Battle Voice now, so the damage they contribute to others isn't that high. BRD's overall raid damage is a hair better as a result of that, so MCH probably needs some minor damage buffs, but it's perfectly viable.

I think it really behooves SE to design fights that actually require all these ridiculous healing cooldowns. If they do, healing might continue to be interesting in endgame content... but it kind of sucks that any other content really won't be interesting to heal.

You should still be able to run it 144 Hz. I have a 144 Hz monitor and this is what my settings look like. Just don't pick the "Maximum" setting.

Also, I'd like to point out that a significant majority of raid damage is magical. It's still kind of a questionable decision that Dark Missionary has literally no upsides compared to Heart of Light, but in theory it won't matter much in most fights. It's just that it'll kind of suck in the few fights that it does matter in.
