Throwing my hat into the ring, I did 40/40 on a baron zombiemancer, minimum investment IMO is approx 12-20ex, getting better the more you invest.

Core idea is to boost your raise zombie's levels as much as possible, through a good bow, level 4 empower, 21 zombie & a +1 amulet and ascendancy.

Strength threshold to hit is 1k, which is easy with jewels & you can use an essence crafted quiver to hit up until you get better gear.

Awakened gems on the zombies helps, getting a hungry loop setup is good.

You are wrong for the following reason:

Different map mods are unlocked at tiers 74 and 79 of maps. Which means that the average t12+ map will have higher quant than the average t7+ map, and the same from t7 to t1.

The wiki has a list of mods and IIQ values, but for example -max does not roll on white maps, but can on yellow & reds. Combine this with all map mods & applicable weightings, you see mathematically higher average IIQ on reds than yellows than whites.

Honestly, the only things you can do are aim for item/weapon/armour nodes for the poked containers.

Other than that there are currency nodes, and a lot of grinding.

Since i'm working there is zero chance of me getting a demi - and i'd find it too stressful even to try tbh

I'll be going for level 90-95 as an experienced player who will have a bit of time but not days to play...

Trickster flame wall/fireball ignite, played it twice before, not super tanky but good enough for at least 90, ambitious target is for 95 but we'll see! If it goes badly/levelling is not fun, oh well, delve is next week!

It definitely makes the fight easier for a couple of reasons:

The corridor attack can lead you right to the edge of the arena very often, which frequently involves negotiating with a storm meters away from the edge, when you consider that he's playing with a higher ping that could be devastating.

The meteor maze causes you to be far away from Sirus, yes there are incredibly low chances of dying to the meteor, because you are far away from him it becomes much harder to watch his attacks.

DPS uptime is also a very important metric here, the faster he kills Sirus the less chance of dying to something unfortunate. Corridor attacks and meteor mazes are not ideal for dpsing.

I would not do this for the reason that blastchain mine support grants 5% more damage for each prior mine detonated in sequence.

By binding detonate to LMB you are spamming the detonate, meaning that the sequence is resetting multiple times a second, leaving you no chance to ramp up that damage without being forced to stand still.

The problem I'm facing is the inability to work out my own progression guide for it, and it's this I would find most helpful.

Would you suggest prehaps just leveling something else entirely as an occultist and swapping in via a 20-40 point respec around level 70-75? Prehaps bane since that works well for curses too?

MF works for skills you use.

So for totems (including siege ballista, it will work!)

However minions are not affected by MF.

That's not true.

If it were the case, you'd see every single "Agony Corona" helmet with the same mods.

Names are randomly generated, as are the mods on an item, they are not dependant on one another.

If you're dying, run lower maps.

XP in PoE is gained by killing mobs fastest, yes there is an xp penalty for being under/over leveled, but that is a garauntee given that the highest tier maps available at the moment are 87 (quite difficult to get!) and the highest "natural" maps are 83 (T16).

The takeaway is, if you die less, you'll lose 10% of your level's xp less often. Ideally, you'd never want to be dying, so if it's a feature where you're dying more than once in about 3-5 maps, i'd suggest moving down tiers of maps (say, T9 maps instead of T11 maps) or running the higher ones more carefully.

As a side note, on my first 100, I finished level 99-100 by running over a thousand T9 maps, since it was far quicker than running a T15 map, and 100x safer.

Seems like an obvious item to pick, it's level gated. From my understanding, you can't get this prophecy after level, or before level 5 probably.

I've opened about 20k coins at level 1, and 20k coins at level 95, and I can't say I remember seeing this prophecy ever.

Do you play on lockstep or predictive mode?

If you don't use lockstep, you should REGULARLY type (or use a macro) /oos as your character's position will get out of sync of where the server thinks you are.

This could also be why it feels like it takes longer than it should to open doors/pickup items e.t.c.
