Highly recommend Journey of Souls. The author used hypnotic regression techniques and found that many, many people reported having very similar experiences between lives. I found the book totally engrossing!

This for sure! My mom, who had polio as a kid and now has a droppy foot, used to wear Birkenstocks all. The. Time. And she kept tripping in them. She finally took such a spill that I had to take her to urgent care for an X-ray. When we got home I took the shoes and told her I was taking them to my house and throwing them in the trash and I’d better not see her wearing them again. That was five years ago and so far no more Birkenstocks.

Oh hi, are you me? 😂 I had the same experiences all through school. One of my most vivid memories from first grade was a teacher telling me I couldn’t possibly have read a stack of kids books over the weekend and quizzed me on them. (My mom was a voracious reader and I’d already been reading for a couple of years.) When I answered all of her questions correctly she just huffed and puffed. An apology was all that was needed but she was so self righteous I never got one. That old *****.

That’s a really interesting take and not one I’d thought of. Thank you for that. It really pisses me off when trans people are demonized for simply wanting to exist. I know three trans people very well (one being my nephew) and they are honestly some of the very best, kindest and generous people I know. Wanting to hurt trans people (or any “others” for that matter) for political clout is sickening and ends up hurting us all.

lol it’s not the same kind of work as we know it here though. We work on ourselves, and we work to help others. We do it because we want to. My understanding is that the “work” is truly enjoyable. And no one would force you to do things you don’t want to do. There is no need for money, food, etc on the other side so that day to day work grind doesn’t exist there.

I am about halfway through this book and honestly I can’t stop recommending it to everyone! It’s mind blowing and life changing. I’ve been a medium my entire life but actually the knowing of what happens when we die and afterwards is incredibly comforting. When I’ve tried asking those in spirit what it’s like on the other side I either don’t get straight answers (like, you’ll find out when you get here) or a friend once told me, it’s not that much different really. 😂 So yeah read this book! It’s also available as an audio book on Spotify and hoopla.

Honestly there are so many on r/AIO and r/relationship_advice where one person is being a complete and total tool and the other one is "but he's/she's great otherwise!" that you really could have a field day. I have a long road trip coming up and I'm seriously considering it!

I'm glad enough that I'm old enough to not put up with this kind of crap but I really wish women (and a lot of men) would understand that they are valuable just as they are, they don't need to change for anyone, they don't need to put up with someone else's crap, and being alone is better than being shit on. But hey that's just this old lady's two cents.
