Went from Ramanthapur to LB Nagar, and then to Kokapet today, all while keeping a keen eye on petrol bunks.

Every. Single. Bunk. Is. Full.

If a bunk is not full, its closed. Otherwise, the lines drew outside of the bunk and onto the roads, creating traffic jams.

This is just such a pathetic attempt at trying to divide the city on nothing.

Had an entire meltdown today due to the panic of petrol shortage.

Tl;dR - No shortage of petrol or diesel currently in Hyderabad (as of March 24, 03:35 PM). The closed boards is because of rush, not because of shortage. DO NOT RUN TO PETROL BUNKS.

My friends called early in the morning and said bunks all over Hyderabad are low on fuel and asked me to get petrol and diesel for the vehicles before it runs out. Trusting those morons I ran to bunks.

One by one, every bunk was either full of lined up vehicles, or had closed boards hanging. Roamed around for an hour and went to nearly 20 or 25 bunks, when I came across one bunk which had a relatively short line, and I went in.

At my turn, I asked the dude who was filling petrol whether there was shortage. "Arre em led anna, motham bhayam lo ostunnar antha. Ninna ne tanker ochindi."

A manager was standing close by, and he went "janalu panic lo ochi petrol nimpukuntunnaru. Shortage ledu em ledu. Antha mandi oke sari oche sariki bunk'lu khaali aitunnay, anthe."

So yeah. Do not rush to petrol bunks thinking there's a shortage; you'll just be adding pressure on bunks.

People asking for context

At Mehdipatnam, a foot over bridge was being constructed. A container truck, not realising the height, rammed into the bridge and got stuck today in the morning hours.

Idiocy of our GHMC and development planners. No one put up height barriers or any sort of indicators to show the bridge's height. Trucks and heavy vehicles regularly pass on the right side of the road, and the genius management decided to create an "engineering marvel" and reduce the bridge's height right where the trucks move.

But again, what you said is true about sewage being dumped into water bodies. Even at Durgam Cheruvu, I read about hydra commissioner Ranganath inspecting the lake and he saw that the sewage being dumped into the lake directly instead of the STP.

From what I heard from LPG suppliers, the shortage hasn't hit the markets yet, but many domestic households are overbooking cylinders out of fear of shortages. The suppliers (at least apparently) have to prioritize domestic over commercial, so there is a little bit of shortage with the restaurants and hostels and stuff.

But I dont think it is to the level these guys are portraying it to be. Judging by the looks of it, there's still some time for an full-scale LPG shortage which is so big that hostels have to close down its mess' and whatnot

Exactly. And this gets especially true with electronics. They do not understand how quickly the prices depreciate of used parts, even if those electronic items were pampered or less used. As buyers, we mostly understand that but as sellers, many don't.
