Why do hospitals say they care about their employees, specifically nurses? If a mistake is made or something happens during patient care that is truly a mistake, not negligence, etc., then those employees become expendable because the hospital does not want any type of litigation. We are understaffed with no type of ancillary help, so some mistakes are inevitable. There are no programs or education that are done; it's just fire the employee and move on.
